I honestly thought he was a sleeper in that class.  I thought he had such promise.

Now, I just hope he gets the help he needs.

I recall from his brief appearances on Last Chance U that he seemed academically superior to most of the guys going through the program. He's smart and appears to come from a good home, which is more than you can say for a lot of those kids. I say this because it's possible that the help he needs is a swift kick in the pants, legally speaking.

Mainly, I just hope he gets his life together and doesn't hurt anyone again (allegedly).

Very sad. This kid had the world by the tail. What in the world gets into these kids. (Samuels as well)

Prayers for these guys & their families... has to be devastating for ALL involved.

That coach definitely has an interesting approach. He probably could've worded it better but his reputation is tied to the players he sends off to better schools. If he feels like the guy is a waste of time he better be honest about it or he looks bad when that player doesn't amount to anything.

In football, that’s a lingo that flies. Why be so sensitive? I’m as “PC” as one can be, but if a young man acts like an ass, and in that world that is how coaches evaluate, then he’s not humiliating the young man. The young man is humiliating himself with his actions and he’s called out on it in blunt terms. There is a reason for such bluntness—it is a macho coach letting a macho player and other macho coaches know, in macho language, how to see the player’s impact as a person on potential programs.  Ooh, yeah.

Dont endorse Brown’s dude system if you cannot handle the trenches, too.

Yeah again I don't have a problem with the fuck stick lingo, its fine to tell him that to his face in practice. I just think that it's immature and unprofessional to say that to other coaches (who you don't know). it really shows the guys character (he also punched an assistant coach, and a lot of people have bagged on Locksley on here for that).

Anyways, do you think when our players transfered that Harbaugh was on the phone saying "this guy is a grade A entitled little baby who is leaving because we weren't starting him and he doesn't want to work for it". I doubt he did that. There's a way to handle it is all I'm saying.

Don’t feel sorry for him he has chosen to conduct himself in a manner which is harmful to society.  His choice he had every opportunity a scholarship at a school like Michigan which if he put in the time would have set him up for life one way or another.  He has no excuses.  There’s no reason for a college kid to be toting a gat.

Transferred from Michigan cuz he didn’t want to work hard or play fullback, kicked off the last chance U now kicked off of UAB. I bet he wishes he stay It out here with the touches we give fullbacks. Bad decision after bad decision.  He has made his bed.

Another sad case for a young man.  Seems like maybe the multitude of these charges are being potentially fabricated and need to be fully investigated before reported?

Dang, I didn’t even realize you could get kicked off the Last Chance U team.  Kind of defeats the purpose of the name if, in fact, you indeed get another chance at UAB.

Strangulation/suffocation? Sorry, but antecedent to him getting the help he needs, I hope he gets a sufficient penalty of what he deserves.

I hope the VICTIM is ok and gets whatever help is needed.

I will say this about the new zero tolerance is that football players or athletes in general are going to be deterred from engaging in any violence otherwise their careers are going to end. This is the crux of the movement right which is to eliminate domestic violence.

Programs are going to lean toward dismissal just to keep the media off their back even before these issues are adjudicated.

The ironic thing is that playing fullback is the closest thing to legalized domestic violence.  During practice you get to hit people you know as hard as you can.
