Why is it THE Ohio stats university? Is there some other Ohio state university? This continues to perplex me. Is it confused with something else? Like a community college that is THE community college for THE community?

Because even though OSU has a successful Football program they still have a fragile ego which they build up by emphasising THE. I called out a fan recently and they claim it is a tradition from the beginning. I laughed.

When they were an Agriculture and Mechanical (see A&M) university back in the 1870 or whatever the state legislature changed the name in 1900 and literally said it would now be called The Ohio State University after they decided to expand upon what degrees they offered. so technically their legal name is actually The Ohio State University.

I would agree with it be pretty reasonable for a Ohio state university football players to talk trash and for the fanbase to do so as well but if that's coming from an official university account in my opinion it reflects very poorly on aOsu - no class.

Ok? Seems dumb. If you are going to say something (especially something silly after a blowout loss) you should expect anyone/everyone to call it out. I think the idiocy of the first comment by Winovich is a bigger deal than the response. Really though both were dumb.. To be fair, this was pretty well done.
