1. Kissing Your Brother (and a Loss) and Your Twin Sister (and a Loss)
starts at 0:50
Welcome back to the Podcast. In this episode we discuss the past two series vs Michigan State and Minnesota, the GLI, and World Junior Championships.
Michigan State has 5 of their 8 Big Ten Points vs Michigan. Minnesota got a draw and a win at Yost. Michigan got 3 of 12 points from these two series when they needed 9.
Why is this happening? The team isn't necessarily playing poorly. Lacking depth and some players have room for improvement in the 2nd half. Welcome back to the Podcast. In this episode we discuss the past two series vs Michigan State and Minnesota, the GLI, and World Junior Championships.

Why is this happening? The team isn't necessarily playing poorly. Lacking depth and some players have room for improvement in the 2nd half. Power play and penalty kill are improved. Blaming goaltending might be unwise - this team is built to not allow chances but still does in their own end, and cannot compensate for it offensively.
2. Global
starts at 37:43
The GLI is right around the corner, and we preview the potential opponents. With all four participants between 20-30 in Pairwise, this should be an even tournament. MTU is up first and the winner of LSSU/MSU Looms.
Anthony previews the WJC, for those who want to get their hockey and Quinn Hughes fix over the holidays. B1G is well represented, Red Wings have some good prospects, and Canada is absolutely loaded. What are the US's chances? How did the US get so good?

The complete list of goalies with a worse save percentage than Strauss Mann right now:
-Guy from Alaska Fairbanks
-Hayden Lavigne
-Back-up freshman at Ferris State forced to play because their starter is hurt
-Back-up at American International
-Back-up at Canisius
Meanwhile, the offense is scoring at the same rate as #4 Minnesota Duluth. It's the goaltending, guys.

Fair point

For the season, absolutely.
But Lavigne was good against Wisconsin, Mann was good against MSU/Minnesota (I didn't see the 4-3 loss at MSU) and they still didn't win any of those 5 games. The offense has scored 12 in the past 6 games, 5 of which were at home. They tied four games where they gave up 1, 2, 1, and 2 goals.
For the past 3 weeks, the defense has largely been fine and the offense has been terrible at putting pucks in the net. That said, they've gotten a TON of shots and Berry, DeRidder, and Robson were outstanding (and had some terrible puck luck....I think they had 4 posts against Minnesota on Saturday).
They've dug themselves a huge hole this year, again. They've burned through a ton of home games getting things somewhat figured out.

Lavigne gave up a very saveable goal in both Wisconsin games, which was the difference in both games.
They needed five goals to win the MSU and Minnesota games that they lost. If that's the ask, your offense is going to let you down more often than not.

Hockey has been the biggest disappointment at UM thus far

Team M has simply got to get better.
They will have the opportunity to do just that.
