2021 "Phil Shlameele" NCAA Football Preview - The Most Accurate of the Last 20 Seasons!

#1 - Alabama. "Who knew Tua's younger brother would be better? Returning all american Dax Hill looks like a stud too. Signed the #1 class in 2019, 2020 and return 16 All-SEC to the 2 deep. What an amazing job Nick Saban does between this and his consumer award winning car dealership. Ranked #1 in customer satisfaction by Consumer Reports."

#2 - Clemson. "After coming up just short in 2018, 2019 and 2020, is this the year they finally get past the Tide? Rematch #7 in the College football playoff looks likely. The ACC looks weaker then normal."

#3 - Georgia. "Despite back to back to back SEC title game losses to Alabama, Kirby Smart is still in Athens. He's on the hot seat though and will need a big win over the Tide this year to overcome perceptions his #4 ranked classes can't overcome Alabama's #1 ranked recruiting classes."

#4 - USC. "Head coach Urban Meyer looks rejuvenated out West, with a #2 class incoming and Hollywood stars lining up to sponsor a team bonding trip to Ibiza during spring break. The Trojans were a missed FG from going 12-0 in Urban's first season and look to improve in 2021. Top QB JT Daniels is rested and primed for a big season after touring Australia in his new EV Escalade."

2021 was my original prediction for Michigan making the playoffs.  I think they have a chance to win the B1G next season but I doubt they finish 12-1, I think it will be 11-2 or 10-3, and if the playoffs are still only 4 teams, we probably will not reach the playoffs but a Rose Bowl and beating OSU and defeating the west division winner would be great for 2019. 2020 we'll be at OSU and we usually end up losing in the horseshoe.

People need to stop obsessing over which 17-year-old is going to which school.  It's out of our hands and frankly kind of stalkerish.  The grown adults who follow these kids on Twitter . . . seriously, that's just weird.

I stopped paying attention to recruiting a few years ago and have never regretted that decision.

It's all weird.  I find it insane how many people angrily tweet at current players when they screw up.  Or yell at professional athletes when they fail.  Hell, it's weird we have traveling hockey teams for 5-year-olds.  But you can try to draw some lines somewhere, and stalking high schoolers on social media so you can encourage or discourage them from attending colleges is probably a good one.

Haha kind of an attempt at satire. Phil Steele is the "most accurate" mag in college football so why not have some fun with it?

In all honesty does anyone here doubt this is the top 4 in college football in 3 years? Alabama vs Clemson part 7. The suspense is killing me. And college football.

Things can change in college football. Would have been nice to beat Meyer but chances are OSU will take a step back with Day in charge.

I’m sure he’ll pull out all the stops to beat us but the game is in Ann Arbor next year. That will probably be the biggest game of Harbaugh era. Maybe even since the turn of the century.

Beat OSU and the talk will be that the rivalry is changing and that Michigan is now the standard bearer of the Big Ten.

Next year’s schedule lined up nicely and if we can retain most of our talent it could be a huge year where we finally get over the hump.

This is better than 75% of board posts - entertaining, original, and had some thought behind it.  It is not announcing news you can find anywhere, it is not repeating someone else's report from 1 hour to 2 days ago, it is not an emotional rant about things being terrible or things being great, it is not asking a question that can be googled, and it is not someone asking to fund a kidney transplant for a long lost cousin.

I like the effort UM fan 13.  Thanks.

Agreed.  This is way better than that one about Urban Meyer leaving OSU because he was scared that Harbaugh would have his number the the next 6 years of the 10 year war.  It even had a reference to a shitty CBS reality show about people getting voted off an island....

Oh the irony, Indy Pete.
