Drew Singleton announced he was leaving the program in October.

How dare he? To our biggest rival?
/s
December 3rd, 2018 at 9:21 AM ^
Unnecessary use of "/s"... sit the next play out
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:17 PM ^
He'll be good. Wished he would have stuck it out at UM.
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:18 PM ^
Saw the writing on the wall... 2nd string his whole career barring injury.
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:45 PM ^
How? I am not saying you're wrong but the only guy from his class clearly ahead of him was Ross. Ross didn't redshirt so Singleton would have had at least one season without him.
Also, I don't know the XO's enough to know but it seems like from people who know more than me that DB's LB's are pretty interchangable. I don't think Harbaugh would have used him on special teams this year if he didn't plan on getting him some PT next year. Unless McGrone was clearly ahead of him but JH has never been shy to burn a shirt on special teams.
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:07 PM ^
Jordan was gettingreps ahead of him as devins backup
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:08 PM ^
Also Mcgrone is legit
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:25 PM ^
Are we sure Singleton didn't burn his red shirt last year? I thought he did on special teams. We basically play two LB positions and he was behind Ross and Jordan in his own class, and we don't even know where Mcgrone stands. If a guy wants to get PT, he had to transfer.
That's what happens when you over recruit a position, best guys play and the others open up a scholarship by transferring.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:18 PM ^
Ok I understand he wants to move on and get more playing time so he can have a bright future in the NFL but is this the best option? Does he really think playing for a team like that will get him to the NFL?
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:25 PM ^
The NFL doesn’t care who you play for, nor should they.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:55 PM ^
The Patriots have a number of players from Rutgers. School affiliation has zero to do with NFL potential
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:42 PM ^
From when Rutgers was actually good.
December 3rd, 2018 at 7:21 AM ^
It's almost like Rutgers being good is directly correlated with the amount of NFL prospects on the team. Weird.
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:00 PM ^
The NFL cares not about the school you're at, but they do care about the coaching you get. I'm not sure that Rutger has any kind of coaching to let the kids talent show through. I hope they do, I hope he ends up with a great career. Good luck to him...
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:16 PM ^
Nor do they care about stats and numbers from the college field. Hence Gary going in the first round.
December 3rd, 2018 at 1:56 AM ^
If you knew anything about football, you'd know how much that slight against Gary was based on your lack of knowledge.
December 3rd, 2018 at 12:58 AM ^
Alabama would like a word with you.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:57 PM ^
Khalil Mack attended, wait for it, wait for it....
The University of Buffalo
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:31 PM ^
And Buffalo kicked the shit outta Rutger this year, I'd rather he transfer to a school with a better future than Rutger
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:42 PM ^
Buffalo has a pretty good little program going on. The campus is really nice too if you dont visit during winter.
December 3rd, 2018 at 10:08 AM ^
Excuse me - The University AT Buffalo. How dare you
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
If you can play, the NFL will find you. Can't really question him wanting to play close to home.
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
Rutgers had 2 defenders drafted last year and have 15 guys currently in the NFL. That's more than schools like Baylor, Colorado, Maryland, Minnesota, Syracuse and basically the same as schools like Michigan State, Boston College, and Virginia Tech. It's still a P5 spot.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:19 PM ^
Guess he has no aspirations of a successful football career?
Their AD just had to send a mass email begging fans to renew season tickets while trying to explain Ash is the right man for the job because “He wanted to be at Rutgers.”
Yikes.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:21 PM ^
To be fair, it must be pretty rare to find someone who actually wants to be at Rutgers.
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:58 PM ^
he probably got his sufficient attention there. He struck me as someone who is extremely talented and had a hard time with criticism when he got to Michigan because he never had to deal with it before.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:24 PM ^
Wow. Two people, Ash and Singleton, actually want to be at Rutgers? That's two more than I thought they'd ever have.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:22 PM ^
Ash just wants to learn Harbaugh seekrits
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:22 PM ^
Rutgers is lucky to be in East Division. At least when they play OSU, Michigan and PSU they have opposing fans fill up their stadium.

December 2nd, 2018 at 6:28 PM ^
Who are you to decide what is and isn’t funny?
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:59 PM ^
Getting punched by a kangaroo. . .now that's hilarious! Right Joey?
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:28 PM ^
I find it hilarious.
They’ll earn the S back when they stop embarrassing the conference.
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:43 PM ^
They almost beat Sparty in EL
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:31 PM ^
Have a Snicker.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:35 PM ^
That's ok...because it's rutger, not Rutger.
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:36 PM ^
I agree. I wonder if OSU looks at us the way we look at Rutgers. We are 4-1 vs Rutgers and in the same time period OSU is 5-0 vs us.

You are right its not cool yall. The man had a great acting career and Ill never forget his role in Blade Runner. Lets not insult this good man any further. Good looking out UFFS.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:28 PM ^
Multiple perplexing decisions. GL.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:35 PM ^
So if the guy wants to be close to home...okay, I get it.
But if not... he seriously left for Ruggers?
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:53 PM ^
Big fish in a small pond? I can't imagine Rutgers has much in the way of talent blocking him. Maybe he gets enough of a chance to flash his athleticism to entice an NFL GM to use a late pick on him.
December 2nd, 2018 at 6:39 PM ^
Wish him well, think he could have had a great career at UM.
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:04 PM ^
He’s a great talent and I wish him the best. Hope all is well with him and his family.
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:27 PM ^
I remember that he left, but I don't recall hearing about where he might be going.
The whole Rutger thing aside, hopefully it works for him.
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:38 PM ^
New Jersey pipeline.
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:47 PM ^
New Jersey to Michigan to Rutgers
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:03 PM ^
Dude...yuck
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:13 PM ^
Good luck. Hope it works out
