Not cool, man.  Not cool at all.

This is a Google interest related ad.  Has been discussed on the Board multiple times as I was reminded when I brought it up.  The arrow and the X in the upper right corner are the tell.  Based on your browsing history.  Close it and Notre Dame or MSU may come up.

I believe the ads you see are placed based on your internet browsing history. So, if you have visited 11 warriors or the ozone recently that may be why you see OSU ads.

BTW I've given up completely trying to educate Google on my ad preference.  You can close the same ad repeatedly and tell Google why you hate the ad and it will reappear immediately.

Not worse than my 4 year old telling me yesterday he should get an Ohio State shirt to wear so that he can root from them in all of the games they play, except maybe Michigan.

He's at that developmental stage where handling losing is difficult... Now that I think of it, many of us here are still in that stage.

My 3 year old equates any football to "Go Blue".  She would never consider rooting for anyone else, and if she did it would be because Go Blue is football, and football is Go Blue.  Daddy, is "Go Blue" on?  Daddy, I don't wanna watch "Go Blue", I want Paw Patrol.  Daddy(with devilish look) why do you yell at the t.v.?

Look, I just don't appreciate the condescending response and responded accordingly.

Stating it was of my own volition when you don't even know what actions actually caused the ad to pop up is a bit presumptuous.

Consider the following actions...

1.  Read a non-OSU sports news article from a source frequently visited that never results in such ads.
2.  Article about Michigan game discusses Haskins that had an interesting stat with a link (doesn't state the source).
3.  Click on said link, takes you to Eleven Warriors.
4.  Exit article.  No other visits to OSU related sites of any kind.
5.  Next day log into MGOBLOG and see OSU ad.

I would argue that to be "of my own volition" implies that I took actions 1-4 knowing full well that the outcome would likely be #5.

If you think that's the case, then fine.  We disagree.

I didn't blame MGOBLOG for the ad.  I just found some irony that the Google algorithm in it's infinite wisdom decided to show me that ad, given recent events.

Also,  I didn't say MGOBLOG put the ad there so there is no need to be condescending.

What I said was that it wasn't cool that it popped up.   I made a post because I found some irony that Google's algorithm chose to kick me in the nuts at this very point in time, instead of the many other times I've visited various sites that didn't result in an ads beyond the ones that I see on the site all the time.

We sent them to the playoffs probably, put Haskins back in Heisman contention, & are getting torched in the media now - might as well have ads for them as well ....

And while we’re at it, can someone please make the ads concerning “How to get your parents to love you” and “John Cleese shirtless” GO AWAY?
