Being able to even talk about this shitshow means you, my friends, are true professionals. I doff my cap to you. I, instead, would have recorded four hours of the sounds of me breaking things.

I've recently returned from Disney's Animal Kingdom and befriended a woman who works at the resort we stayed at who is from Africa. She educated my wife and I on pronouncing the word Zebra, and needless to say I've been saying it wrong for my entire life. 

I know it was too much for you to speak about it, but I would have loved to hear the takes on the offensive game plan and execution. Maybe I am cynical, or maybe it has something to do with the fact that I enjoy going to the dentist.

Brian sure seemed annoyed with Seth on this one, even more than usual. I guess it was the wrong day for extended tangents.

I’m tired of seniors talking shit and then getting curb stomped. Hart and Winovich are morons, Higdon was a bait job but it was still dumb. THAT is what happens....

They are selling shirts that have “revenge tour canceled” here in cbus and I think that is a great idea. Hopefully we won’t get another senior talking shit, because it always ends badly....

Also, as much as I love Don Brown, he kinda mailed it in on this one. 

What OSU exposed is that the two programs remain in completely different places in terms of their coaching, schemes, players, and preparation. With Michigan and OSU in the same division of the conference, we will not so much as sniff a championship so long as Meyer remains the coach, maybe longer. 

That was some Shutdown Fullcast shit to start the podcast.  Weirdly cathartic.

This was a garbage podcast. As disappointing as the game on Saturday really. Way to give up. 

Last week felt like one big Rope-A-Dope, or whatever Ali called it back in the day.

All over TV, Radio and the Internet...stories and footage of OSU D getting consistently gashed by low-level B1G teams.  Offense struggling to run the ball.  Worst 10-1 team in college football history, if you listened to the media.  "Analysts" like Chris Carter saying that OSU is "undermanned" and Michigan will win easily.  Shots of Urban on the sideline faking his brain tumer (Its not a Tuma!) looking like he is going to keel over. etc. etc. etc.

Meanwhile, Michigan was apparently believing in their hype (once again), coaching staff so confident that they refused to game plan specifically for OSU.  Perhaps they were too busy showing slides of their trip to France in the team meetings, rather than actually study film.  RB making "guarantees" after getting egged on by the imbeciles in traditional media.  "Revenge Tour" t shirts hot off of the presses. etc.

The week ended in an Epic Fail.  Its too bad because Michigan fans really wanted, and probably deserved this one, after 11 years of mostly bad football and 15-20 years of losing to OSU and being obscure in the national picture.  That's the way it is going for Michigan and something needs to give if they want to compete with the big boys.

I was kind of hoping to hear more analysis of the game, not necessarily a quickish dismissal. Perhaps thoughts/opinions on what could have been done different, schemes, strategies, etc.

Was listening to the first two segments and my wife said "that sounded like a eulogy" and the only thing I could say is that it was...

The game planning that went into 'the game' 2016 and 2017 was nearly perfect, lack of execution lost those two games...  Yeah, yeah, yeah officiating didn't help and 'the spot' was bullshit, but players gotta step up, like their players did on saturday.

This year, the game plan missed the mark like a john o'korn pass on a wheel route.  

Its unbelievable how talking heads are putting ohio state in the playoff conversation.... seriously?  The team that needed OT to beat MD a week ago, was taken to task by PSU and NE, struggled with MSU and MN for 3 qtrs.....  They belong in the playoff over OU or GA like we do.

I think its fair to say we've improved year over year since Jim took over.  He didn't take over a team that was a year or two removed from NC contention, he took over a team that was mis-managed for a decade.  

There are better days ahead, this season ended with a huge missed opportunity.... this season could have been special, yet it showed much progress over last year.  

Onward, GO BLUE

The Papa Roach at the start of the second segment is the sole laugh I’ve had about the game. Thank you for that. 

If you'd like a professional approach to the game analysis, go listen to Sam Webb this morning. He is obviously a huge fan who cares a lot about this program, evidenced by the fact he has no voice this morning, yet he could still break down the game and provide thoughtful insight as to what happened, or more to the point how what happened happened. Brian just went into full-on ten year old take my ball and go home because I'm mad mode. Really disappointing. 

There were some great performances on the offense that deserved recognition. Nico Collins and DPJ played their hearts out. Higdon and Evans showed up, too. Patterson had a tough game but did many things well. I would have liked to hear some analysis of the zone read plays. I thought that Shea was making some bad reads for the first time this season, seemed like he pulled when he shouldn't have and vice versa. That hurt our effectiveness a lot, I thought. Seemed like with a little better execution on the zone read stuff, Shea doing a better job of getting rid of the ball on a couple of plays, and with Gentry playing better, we make this a game. True, the defense was so bad it probably didn't matter, but to that point, I really would have liked to hear some thoughts on why we didn't seem to blitz more, or did they just have our blitzes schemed perfectly? Also, some breakdown of some of the really key plays would have been nice. What happened on that punt? What broke down on the Patterson INT?

This was a drubbing, but OSU isn't that much better than us, and Meyer and his staff aren't that much better at coaching. A few different strategy choices and a few different stepped up performances on key plays and this would have been a competitive game. The petulance of the hot take fanboys seems to have rubbed off on Brian or just worn him down into giving up. Too bad.

Been icing my soul dong since Saturday afternoon, but it still hurts.

The Front Range of Colorado actually has an exceptionally good early-season snowpack this year so maybe MGoTeam should visit.  Here is yesterday.  Yes, it was extremely helpful. 

Thanks for the mention of Spurs. They were the only football team I care for that did a single damn thing on Saturday. 

This was a terrible podcast and your food takes are all abominable. I did enjoy listening to some Ted Leo, however.
