Anyone Heard from BronxBlue?

Submitted by MadMatt on November 19th, 2018 at 10:14 AM

It's been a while.  I know he is in a busy time of life, and probably hasn't posted because he has better things to do with his time.  However, I wanted to ask if everything is OK with him.

Hey I dont mean to threadjack but has anybody from MadHatt lately?  The dude had been pretty active on the board and has now completely silent.  I hope he's ok cause he's been completely invisable here.

I've seen Mad Hatter all over the place lately.  He's been dominating.  I think you guys may just be hitting different threads.

Now, Faux Mo (Mad Hatters actual brother) has been in self-imposed exile for a while after taking the bait on some political stuff a couple of weeks ago.  He vows a return for The Game.

Uhhh. There was no taking of the bait. He was one of the ones that voluntarily and intentionally turned that into a political thread.

That said, I didn't think it was bad enough for a self-imposed exile.

All BS aside, I think it's cool that some posters on here have personal relationships with other posters.  I have communicated on twitter with one prominent poster here, talked on the phone with another, but haven't really met anyone face to face.  I'm going to keep wearing my Known Friend and Trusted Agent t-shirt in public until someone recognizes it's significance and they we're gonna become fast friends.

I haven't met any fellow posters in person but when Nick Roumel was doing the Punt-Counterpunt reprise I recognized his name on a mutual friend's Facebook post and reached out.  I wound up meeting up with him the next time I was in A2 and we had a lot in common, so we're buds now.

It is kind of a strange line to cross/not cross but I really like your idea of wearing mgoblog t-shirts and seeing who makes the connection.  I'm not sure how that would go in A2 or even Michigan generally, but since I live far out of state that would kind of be a neat thing.

i've met more than a few of the mgobloggers and have never been disappointed.  i know a bunch of lurkers, too. i posted a diary about it this past spring when we went to the mich v. minnesota hoops game.   i highly recommend making the effort to meet the folks, they have been nothing but cool.   that said, make sure faux mo isn't in costume if he meets you/your family, and don't fall for the 'free hugs' thing....

Heh - It's funny hearing about The Knowledge and the The Mathlete on every Matt Demorest / HomeSure Lending advertisement, when I haven't either post in a very long time?  They did update the ad to include much more inspired "Go Blue!"s from the kids.  Will next years ad read include Wolverine Devotee and umbig11 mentions?

Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw BronxBlue pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious

This does make me wonder....I was chatting with a guy and we started talking sports and it of course went to UM sports. We then discovered we both frequent this blog. I didn’t ask and neither did he, so I was curious if it’s taboo to ask another’s username if it’s not at first given.

Whats the proper etiquette?

There are a lot users, who use to post quite frequently 10 years ago, but I have not heard from them in quite a while. I'm sure some got banned from the site, some have changed their usernames, some just got bored, some have no time, and some may have --- what will eventually happen to all of us one day.

He posted best and worst on the Indiana guy.   And I agree he is legitimately one of the best posters here.  So universally level headed.   I’m sure his wife doesn’t feel that way but whose wife does:).
