Ticket PSA for Saturday: Reasonable tickets to be had on EBay
I was able to source a couple tickets just above face value from EBay of all places. Of course you want to keep in mind the sellers history. Everything checked out for me. Can’t wait to get down there and watch our boys. Go Blue and let’s flood the shoe.

Would be very careful about eBay, as OP noted, go over the seller's history.
Would also recommend not purchasing anything from someone who has made "Private" their selling history. Could very well be purchasing something from someone who has access to a hacked account on Stubhub or Vividseats with their CC information saved.
Found this out the hard way recently, when the shipment contained a billing invoice in the name of a 3rd party that was NOT the seller. This is apparently called a "triangulation scam".

I hadn’t heard of this scam before. I made sure to check the sellers history and they had a 100% positive reviews and a good ticket track record. So food for thought for the masses. The beautiful part about EBay is you avoid the fees of stub hub. However, the fees on stub hub are basically an insurance against fakes. Buyer beware I guess.

Stubhub is also barely above face before fees. Outside of very special events, I think we've passed peak ticket prices for CFB. Media breaks are more frequent than NFL games. The "get in" price for these games for two people on the secondary market exceeds what it would cost to buy a brand new 60"+ 4k HDTV to watch it from home. I could be wrong, but he number of buyers seems like it is quite reduced. Tickets barely over face for The Game to decide (essentially) the B1G seems unheard of 10-15 years ago.

Depends on what “face” is. I got into the 2002 game for $200 or so. But if face is nearly $200 (someone who got tix through the U of M office said $197) and they’re selling for 10-20% more than that (cheapest I saw on stubhub was $225 just now) what has really happened is that the schools have caught up to the market.
There may be some tertiary costs to this as fans with lesser means cease to consider themselves potential customers for cheaper games, but from a financial standpoint it seems to make sense.

10-15 years ago the game wasn't thanksgiving weekend. I can't imagine that helps demand. Throw in the fact that the OSU fans I know aren't super confident and it isn't that surprising tickets are only a little above face

The only seats that are going for slightly above face (and still about $50 over face) are the bad seats. If you want pretty good seats they are $500+/ea. Great seats well into the $1000's/ea.

I mean, that is what people are asking but are those actually moving? I saw (very briefly) a Section 20C (25ish yard line) Row 11 with 1-4 tickets available for $250. Never been to The Shoe myself but those are what I would at least call "pretty decent" seats.

Cheapest pair together on Stubhub right now is going for $300 ($243 without fees) each with fees. What was the face value of the tickets you got?

Guys, if you have the money and friends that want to go, please buy the tickets and go. For too long, games in Ann Arbor have had way too many OSU fans there. It's about time we start showing that we too are a confident fan base, and rally behind this team for a victory.
I've gone to a few games in Columbus, and you must travel in numbers. Nothing good will come of it if they see you as an easy target and typically security and the police tend to not get involved when they should. There are decent OSU fans out there to meet, but for the most part you'll see the worst side of people.

As an eBay seller myself I can say eBay takes 10% of all revenue (9% for Top Rated Sellers) and PayPal takes 4% of all revenue. StubHub takes 10% from buyer and 15% from seller.
If the eBay seller has a large positive feedback score and has been an eBay member for several years, you can probably trust you aren't getting scammed. But you could still potentially be a victim of shipping issues or the seller shipped you the wrong tickets or something. Which would result in buyer getting refunded but not able to attend the game. With StubHub using barcodes you know right away if you have authentic and correct tickets.
$100 ticket listed on eBay: Buyer pays $100, Seller receives $82. ($10 eBay fee, $4 PayPal fee, $4 postage)
$100 ticket listed on StubHub: Buyer pays $110, Seller receives $85, StubHub keeps $25

Cheapest tickets on stubhub are in the $250 range and that's in 6c...which I believe is the Michigan section.
Not sure what face for this game is...$180? Make sure you don't buy student or faculty tickets or you will need an OSU ID.

As previous poster mentioned, the face value through UM ticket office is $197 and for the last 2 games in Columbus, these were obstructed view!

I have seen a lot of misinformation out there. So let's clear up a couple things. StubHub is THE LAST PLACE you want to buy these tickets. They charge the buyer somewhere between 20%-27% markup on the tickets. Ticketmaster is the OFFICIAL re-seller of Ohio State Tickets. Try ticketmaster, the convenience fee is more in the 15%-18% range. Ebay would be my second option. Again, beware of seller history. Third option would be Vivid Seats. Keep in mind that StubHub does NOT have guaranteed tickets for Ohio State like they do for Michigan. If your ticket is fake and denied entry at the gate, you will have to call StubHub and they will have to provide you with replacement tickets. Use Ticketmaster for this game.
