Anyone going down to the Shoe?! What section will you be sitting in?

If you go, have a 15-ft pole along to open coolers.  A 10-ft pole is NOT long enough to risk touching one that hasn't been sufficiently well-guarded.

don't wear any gear. sat with them vs. TCU in Jerry's World a few months back (by accident, BTW). Never met a bigger group of assholes collectively and individually.

Do plan on attending the Skull Session before entering the stadium. If you like college bands it's a great experience.

My friend went to a game there to watch his friend in the marching band since Michigan was on the road that week, (Purdue, the Shazor hit/fumble one) and I went with him to go to the skull session.  I figured I could wear my Michigan gear since i wasn't going to the game but I didn't know the skull session was right by the stadium so I ended up walking back through the game crowd.  It was terrifying.

Once was enough for that shit hole and toxic people.  Never again.  Worst game and post-game experience of my life and I’ve been to a bunch of places.  They won and were still angry asshats.

Proud of those willing to do it.  Thoughts and prayers.

i will say the pre-game party was a good time,

Can't wait.  It'll be a business trip, driving in the morning and leaving right after the game.  Going to be a tough week to concentrate as the only thing on the mind is this game and getting it done in Columbus.  Go Blue!

A buddy of mine had his jaw wired shut after a few drunk dumbasses attacked him after the game a few years ago. If you do go, be aware of your surroundings.

Most probably wouldn't ever take it that far, but as you know, a fair number of them are a bunch of uneducated, douchebag, pieces of shit.

I was at that game too.

My seat was at ground level next to the running track at the time.  When Matt Frantz lined up for the potential Ohio State game winning kick, my seat was behind the play and my sightline was blocked by the Michigan players standing on the sideline.

So I actually went right out on to the field so I could see the play.  Nobody was paying any attention to me, all eyes were on the kick.

When he missed it, I jumped around like a manic.  Then I composed myself and quickly ran off the field for fear of some kind of "fan interference" penalty that I never heard of that might nullify the results.  I wasn't taking any chances.

After the game, I ran out to the middle of the field and stomped all over the Block O in spite.

Nobody bothered me in the stadium, but outside the stadium was a different story.

I was with some people from Ohio State and we walked past some student apartments after the game.  I heard a loud "Fuck Michigan!", and looked up just in time to see a keg of beer come flying out of a second floor window and crashing on the ground by my feet.

Then I made sure to keep my coat on, covering my Michigan sweatshirt.

Hate to say it, but last time I was there I was treated really well.  I mean I heard a few drunk college kids yelling stuff, but nothing that scared me or threatened me in any way. Lot of cops these days.

I’m 51 and haven’t been since my Junior year when I had beer poured on me (twice) and received a serious threat to my well-being from a rather “over served”  gent with a neck tattoo.  Not kidding on that.

Just was offered a ticket from a good friend and his family who are lifelong Buckeyes.  They’re rabid Ohio State fans,, but they’re friendly at least.  Debating going. Debating wearing colors if I go.  I have such a nice man cave and 80” tv.   Hmmm.

First time going down. Section 10C. Anyone know of any bus trips? There was one on Eventbrite that just closed. Sure would like to be with some friendlies. If we have to drive, thinking of parking on the outskirts and Ubering in to the stadium.

Really close to going. Have a group sitting in section 8. I still need a single ticket, they dropped $50 yesterday on stubhub  It is still  more than i ever thought I would spend on a ticket.

I will be in section 6C with my nephew and a college buddy who lives in the Columbus area. I have been lucky enough to have attended every M - OSU game since my freshman year in 1979 -- Earl Bruce's first year. This will make 40 in a row for me. Michigan has gone 15-23-1 in the 39 games I've been at. I hope we have a good showing of Michigan fans in Columbus this year. It has been a great season and this team deserves our support. Favorite game of the bunch was definitely the Biakabutuka 313 yard rushing game with victory sealed by a freshman Chuck Woodson INT in 1995. One of the greatest performances in M history and at the time you just didn't see it coming. Michigan was on fire from the start.

Flying in from Alaska solo, sitting down near the UM bench, 22AA row 3. First trip to Columbus, just focused on supporting our boys in Maize and Blue. Stranger in a strange land, but it'll be a business trip. Was at the game in AA last year and the final four in San Antonio, where I was the only guy wearing bright maize in the Nova section. GO BLUE

I want to go but not alone.  Let me know if anyone backs out from your group and doesn't mind some company.  Of course, I would pay my share of the expenses, ticket, parking, gas, etc.
