I hate appreciation threads but here we are: Jake Moody saved our asses tonight

It is what it is: I think you guys throw out appreciation threads for anyone that does what is expected of them.

But I’m posting one myself because without Jake Moody we would have lost a game that we were supposed to win by 28. He scored 5 more points than our offense. And he got the nod in warmups nonetheless.

Jake, thank you for keeping our season alive. Go Blue.

Agreed.  I doubt he would of made half of them.  I hate to be mean as I know Nordin certainly wants to do right but most of his kicks look terrible (especially this year)  and "knuckle" often.

Moody has really nice rotation and gets "up" quickly.  Dude was lights out !

Gutty move to put him out there, and he made everything. Huge. A big deal going into a game where we might need to make some kicks.

We still win without him, though; Michigan probably goes for it on fourth down and gets a couple of tds. But I'm fine with this.

We can never know what never happened.  The fact is Michigan again struggled on offense on the opponent side of the field and Moody turned out to be a weapon.  You so easily dismiss the accomplishments of Moody, I doubt the guys wearing the pads do, but grant others a hypothetical level of performance they demonstrably did not have today.

He tries to kill the ball every.fucking.time.

He cares not for accuracy. He has to prove to everyone how big of a leg he has each kick, and it kills his accuracy.

Does he really need to kick it over the net on every extra point? No, but he goes for it every time anyway.

Kid needs to get a grip. He's got a leg and everyone knows it. If he could get his form down and be consistently on target every time he could be an all-timer, but instead he tries to kick the ball over them mountains every time out.

Quinn -- newsflash! The NFL doesn't care if you can place kick the ball 76 yards. They just want it to go through for three points 95% of the time!

Or we would have gone for it on 4th down in some of those and walked away with 7 rather than 3.  Who knows.  Well done to Moody.  I hope he keeps it up.
