Yep. It's referring only to a broken bone though. It could be a torn whatever in the shoulder. Those tears are often worse than the broken bones though, so we hope for the best until we hear otherwise.

Not a doctor but I believe it has to do with the wavelengths used (x Ray's vs magnetic waves) that show different densities differently.

Ct can show those injuries but MRI is best for soft tissue injuries and those take like 45 minutes.... long studies

CT-bone. MRI- soft tissue, ligaments etc. However, not mutually exclusive. Either way, a good preliminary report.
