Shot ourselves in the foot and survived. Learn and move on.

Breathe out.
November 17th, 2018 at 7:51 PM ^
For whatever reason, we always have a random "what the fuck" game down the stretch. I'm chalking today up to that. At least we won it this time.
November 17th, 2018 at 9:15 PM ^
Lately, Indiana has been that "what the fuck" game. But they've played well against good competition this year. So I was not surprised but OTOH, we gotta punch it in the end zone. Six FG's is not gonna cut it.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:40 PM ^
6 TDs = 42 pts.
6FGs = 18 pts.
That is all.
November 18th, 2018 at 9:25 AM ^
Hey people have been saying all along that we'd lose a game because of missed field goals if Nordin couldn't figure out his shit. Well, he couldn't, we put in a new kicker and we didn't lose the game because of missed field goals. I call that a win. And so does the NCAA.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:18 PM ^
Major props to Harbaugh for making the decision on game day to go with Moody.
November 17th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
The only thing I remember is that I am still alive and did not have a heart attack. Survived one more week. Dammit RZ offense
November 17th, 2018 at 7:54 PM ^
Before all the overreactions flow in Ill say Im not worried about this. We scored all but 1 time. Its an anomaly that we had to kick FGs and a bit of a blessing that we saw our kick game straightened out a bit. We are going to need it down the road.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:11 PM ^
What's up with JBB?
November 17th, 2018 at 8:42 PM ^
dinged up per harbaugh
November 17th, 2018 at 8:48 PM ^
Season high total yardage.
November 17th, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
If we are going to beat Ohio State, it's going to rest on the shoulders of the Offense.
The Defense has been feasting on bad QBs this season. That won't happen next week.
We're not going to beat Ohio State 17-10 like it's the 1970's. The Offense needs to score points and not just field goals.
We CAN NOT dick around for two quarters while the Offense finds itself. We need to make drives pay off.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:35 PM ^
You can say that again.
November 17th, 2018 at 9:13 PM ^
I dont know man, Haskins looked like shit and OSU litterally picked on MD DB #2 90% of the time and he is shit
November 17th, 2018 at 9:38 PM ^
Luckily for us, OSUs defense is pure trash
November 18th, 2018 at 8:54 AM ^
Or while the defense finds itself.
November 17th, 2018 at 7:56 PM ^
Off day we won...bring on the suckguys
November 17th, 2018 at 7:56 PM ^
fuck john oneil
November 17th, 2018 at 9:53 PM ^
I don't know if you were at the game, but I was. His crew was awful.
November 17th, 2018 at 7:56 PM ^
It would have been nice if we were trying to win the game
November 17th, 2018 at 7:57 PM ^
Field goal kicking is offense, right?
J. Moody for MVP.
WE FOUND US A KICKER.
November 17th, 2018 at 9:23 PM ^
Mad Eye FTW
November 17th, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
I've gotten to a point where I watch a game against Indiana and I am honestly not sure what to think about any phase of the game in that particular game.
Then, in this case, I remember that I watched most of Ohio State-Maryland and OSU gave up 51 to Maryland.
I still sort of like our chances in an equally impressive and infuriating WTF game in Columbus for some reason, but I will say that I would rather it wasn't all put on the leg of Jake Moody. There are definitely a few things to work on.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:18 PM ^
Better than feeling like all we got is a yippy Nordin. They replayed a pregame kick and all you can say is just...yeesh. I don't know if we win today with Nordin kicking.
November 17th, 2018 at 9:41 PM ^
Good call by Harbaugh to make a switch.
November 18th, 2018 at 2:31 AM ^
I watched it too. Osu was so bad everywhere. Fumbles, giving up big runs and passes, penalties- it was a shit show. We were not a shit show today.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:01 PM ^
They were just sandbagging, right? RIGHT?!?!?!
November 17th, 2018 at 8:30 PM ^
November 18th, 2018 at 12:13 AM ^
I'm not sure about that. But I will say they had a much more vanilla gameplan the last two weeks than the 3 before that. OSU will be hit with exotic formations, misdirection, RPOs, and several different kinds of read options, just like Wisconsin, MSU and PSU did.
OSU defense is gonna die.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:49 PM ^
Their offense looked pretty good and is the best offense by any statistical measure we face all year. It’s going to take touchdowns to win this game and hopefully are red zone play calling gets a lot better
November 17th, 2018 at 8:01 PM ^
At least the FG situation for next week seems in order...otherwise, a rather vanilla game on offense
November 17th, 2018 at 8:37 PM ^
They put up over 500 yards of offensive production, scored eight times, and ran out of time (admittedly due to poor game management) at the 2. Red zone foibles sure, but nothing vanilla here.
November 17th, 2018 at 9:06 PM ^
It was vanilla...but effective.
November 17th, 2018 at 11:18 PM ^
Very vanilla. There is a reason you didn't see anything special when they got close to the redzone or were in it. I anticipate the bucs staff going back over every offensive play of Harbaugh's for the past 15 years and then some. The obsession will no doubt lead to exhaustion of their staff. No preparation will save them though from the hammer that's about to get dropped on them.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
We got a lot of yards but not many points to show for it. I don't know.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
Post-game interview:
---
"So, <random Michigan offensive player | clock management coordinator | play-caller>, your word this season is FINISH, what does that mean to you?"
---
"Well... I guess a good post-game sauna, and maybe we're flying to Helsinki for next year's spring trip."
November 17th, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
I thought Patterson’s throwing was just a little bit off today. To his credit, he hung in there and kept battling and got us the win.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:15 PM ^
Black and Gentry dropped passes in the end zone that should have been caught. The throw to Gentry was low but totally catchable; the throw to Black hit him right in the hands.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:38 PM ^
This. If not for a few RZ foibles this is a monster offensive game all around.
November 18th, 2018 at 11:17 AM ^
Black's dropped TD should have been pass interference. Watch the replay. He was clearly hit before the ball got there. I can't believe the announcers didn't talk about it.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:23 PM ^
Seemed a half a tick late on a few throws, but otherwise I am sure as heck happy to have him as our QB. He makes things happen.
That was frustrating to watch this game but good to come out with a win. Lots to clean up this week in practice and I expect much better execution next week.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:04 PM ^
Our redzone playcalling has frustrated me all season
November 17th, 2018 at 8:39 PM ^
Agreed. Reminds me of the 49ers' play-calling at the end of their Super Bowl against the Ravens...
November 17th, 2018 at 8:04 PM ^
Then again,, there was that throw in the middle of the field to DPJ where I know I saw Tarik Black speeding right down the sidelines wide open...I kinda hate that's on tape now.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:17 PM ^
Yes, that was the best, next play was the same but Black didn't come down with it at the goalline.
The coaches seen what we seen and acted on it.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:06 PM ^
The play calling in red zone is head scratching at best. The play calling kept Indiana in this game. If half of those red zone opportunities were turned into touchdowns this would be blow out. That play calling will cost you game at OSU.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:30 PM ^
Or...the O line could have blocked better or receivers could have made catches or Shea could have thrown more catchable balls...
November 18th, 2018 at 1:41 AM ^
A FB dive can technically be a touchdown if everyone blocks better and the FB makes the right moves. But that doesn't mean it's the right play call on 4th and 20. The point is that you need to make play calls that put your players in the best situations possible for them to be as successful as they can on that down. For the most part, Jeff Brohm does that if you wanna see a good example of what that looks like
