Some big things happened as a result of those wins, too.
Volleyball head coach Mark Rosen's 400th career win. His wife and assistant coach Leisa Rosen was an All-American at Ohio State and has her number retired there. The 3-2 win--Michigan's 5th straight win in the series--was at St. John Arena on the very court Leisa Rosen once played.
Michigan's 2-1 double OT victory vs OSU--the series record-tying 9th straight win over OSU--clinched a second straight B1G Championship for the Wolverines.
Women's XC, who sports a record of 114-1 heading into the NCAA Championships on Saturday, beat OSU along with 12 other B1G schools for their 3rd straight B1G Championship.
The Revenge Tour continues on November 24th.

I don't understand the scoring for cross-country. Is that like, total minutes spent running? What do those numbers mean?
November 15th, 2018 at 6:19 PM ^
1 point for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd place, 3 points for 3rd place, etc. Throw out each team's slowest 1 or 2 runners (depending on the rules), aggregate up and low score wins the team competition.

Top 5 runners score. 6th and 7th runners register a place in the standings, but don't score.
Example:
1st: Michigan
2nd: OSU
3rd: Michigan
4th: Michigan
5th: Michigan
6th: OSU
7th: OSU
8th: Michigan
9th: Michigan
10th: OSU
11th: OSU
12th: OSU
13th: OSU
14th: Michigan
Score:
Michigan: 1+3+4+5+8=21
OSU: 2+6+7+10+11=36

Ahh excellent. So the team has to be athletic and have at least a grasp of elementary level math in order to compete.
No wonder we continue to win.

Thanks WD. Appreciate that you care so much about the non-revenue sports and share their success.

Wow, 114-1 record? That is incredible, I wonder if that is a record for any sport in college.

Also, I don't think M has lost to sparty in any varisty D1 competition since Dec of 2017

Do you think Ellie Brooks (#5 Volleyball) knew what she was doing by having her foot like that?
Beating OSU is always good but, it won't mean a thing unless they beat them in two weeks

Wow good catch. That is 100% a shout out to Devin Bush.

Unfortunately the only game that matters will be played 11/24 in Columbus. We will be trying to win for the second time in 15 years. I wish MSU hadn’t crapped the bed last week or we could have punched our ticket to Indy tomorrow in the Big House. Anyone that is glad OSU beat MSU is delusional. After going to Columbus in 2016 I know how easy it is to get screwed there. BOHICA.
