OT: So.. We deleting the pot threads?

Not sure if this is gonna stay up, but it's a pretty major development.  Congrats to the Michigan folk on this board.  Looks like you're gonna be able to smoke weed recreationally soon...

If this is treading too close to politics, feel free to delete.  But it's not often you get to see the repeal of a decades long prohibition.  Guess you won't have to head over to Windsor to try marijuana for your first time...

Treading too close to politics because you are talking about an issue that was a voted on proposal today, election day?

Yeah definitely nowhere close to politics

Chocolope, it's a brazen mixture of OG Chocolate Thai and Cannalope Haze.  It's a hybrid with a little more sativa than indica. What I really like about it is the hints of, oh sh*t!  I'm typing.  My fingers are typing.  It feels so weird.  My giant hands are typing.  Look how big my hands are....

34 years old, and I've never tried smoking weed. I probably never will -- I'm not above it, I just always worried about messing up my lungs by smoking anything. That said, I'm happy for all of you that will be enjoying this new marijuana freedom. I know I have lots of friends and family who are very happy. Enjoy yourselves!

I've considered it. Even my buddies who never touched the stuff through HS and College (mostly stayed away bc of sports) started getting into weed pens and stuff in the last few years. They all take it to mellow out, and I'm pretty chill on my own. I always assumed it'd just get the paranoia side effects, bc I'm the type of dude who tries to go to sleep and then lays in bed for 2 hours thinking about an asshole comment I made to a kid when I was in 7th grade.

Just gotta find the right mix for you.  Not sure how old you are (and not sure that it matters) but that stuff you were smoking in college most likely wasn't some good top of the line stuff that should be available soon in MI.  The stuff I could get my hands on in college - and afford - wasn't that great.  The best thing about this now is the choices...legal choices to experiment and find what works for you.

If you can buy from a legit dealer or at a dispensary in a legal state, you will realize that there are plenty of strains that don't cause paranoia. If you are already are someone with anxiety, etc, try avoiding the sativas at first (although not all of them cause that). And the person who said the weed you smoked in college was bad....is right. Never knew what I was smoking in college, etc...now its like picking out your favorite craft beer or wine. Oh, you need a nice wine to pair with your fish? Here, try this. Oh, you need a strain for anxiety? Then I recommend this. Oh, and one for focus and motivation to combat depression? This is really nice.

Not trying to push it on anyone, but if you are curious, there's nothing to worry about. Personally, It's been great for me. I went off two medications I was on for over a decade and no longer need some anti-anxiety to sleep at night. I should add...my productivity and output hasn't been like this since I was in high school.

You should definitely try CBD. Compared to THC, it's a non-psychoactive cannabinoid so you don't really get the high effect or any of the paranoia, just a calm/relaxed feeling. You can get in gummies/chocolate/oil/flower...pretty much any form you want. I suffer from bad anxiety and I prefer taking it compared to a Xanax or something. I have the same problem falling asleep as you and it has done wonders for me in that department as well.

A friend of mine has leukemia and was on his third round of chemo (after an experimental stem cell transplant) when he developed sepsis and pneumonia. They stopped the chemo and sent him home from the hospital essentially to die. He started taking CBD oil to relax and for the pain. Two weeks later, he was back on his feet, and his numbers were miracle-type numbers. Docs don't believe it was the CBD but who knows?

I finally got around to trying it twice when I was 25, and didn't like it either time. I never liked that smell, it hit me way too hard (I was always a cheap drunk), and it tasted like shit. So I just didn't understand the appeal.

Plus, the idea of sucking smoke of any kind into my lungs didn't strike me as real healthy.

Glad I can now show you folks some of the more creative M items I own...

Once it's federally legal, there is much money to be made on team-themed stuff (big if but if they can get licenses).

Yeah I got both of them downtown one night.

Like I said, there is so much potential money to be made if collegiate licensing can be secured once it’s federally legal. I may try to start a company and make those products because I have some ideas in my head.

MDen sells tankards, wine glasses, coolers etc for alcohol. Well alcohol can actually kill people and it’s legal so once it’s federally legal what exactly is the reason for not having stuff for weed?
