You know, I was going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume it was an abbreviation for "probable", that OP was just adapting some stats notations for this.  But...yeah, that's likely overly generous.  

Perhaps it's a compliment to say that the moribund football team is not worthy of using the full name then?

I have a feeling good Col. Rutgers can distinguish between a joke at the expense of the football team and a joke at his personal legacy.

Can you imagine someone in any other profession saying it is impermissible to make fun of anyone in that profession? That’s absurd.
