Can the band spell:

“It’s up to us to make sure we compete for and win Super Bowls. That’s our only goal. We don’t raise division championship banners, we don’t raise NFC Championship banners. We raise Super Bowl banners. And whenever we don’t deliver that, I hope that you will hold me directly responsible and accountable for it. And we look forward to getting this thing back on track.”

I loved when Jed York played the character Chett in the movie Waiting.  It was very in-character when he gave Dean that $100 bill because he thought he "needed it more."   But what kind of dick stops by a restaurant at closing time and orders a steak?  Jed York.  That's who.

I live in Indiana and my neighbor is a diehard IU fan.  He keeps saying they are going to finally beat us this year.  My response is “Mike DeBord” and he shuts up.  #ChaosTeamNoMore

Something else people aren’t mentioning. If we could beat Iowa in the B1G Championship game that would be the last conference team Harbaugh hasn’t beaten and would be sweet revenge for 2016. Seems like long odds on anyone but NW though.

They need a lot more than that even.  If Northwestern loses twice more, the winner of Wisconsin/Purdue would be next in line if Northwestern manages to choke and lose twice more.

Iowa would need A LOT to happen.  They're 3-3 in the conference looking up a 5-1 Northwestern, 4-2 Wisconsin whom they've already lost to and 4-2 Purdue whom they've already lost to.  They would lose tie-breakers with Wisconsin and Purdue so they pretty much need them both to lose twice more.

Iowa is done.

That’s what Iowa (6-3, 3-3 Big Ten) faces now after a last-second 38-36 defeat at Purdue on Saturday. The Hawkeyes are about as mathematically alive in the Big Ten West Division race as a write-in candidate to claim a Senate spot Tuesday. The scenario comes down to three wins by Iowa and two losses each by Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin. Keep dreaming.

Well, to be fair, Iowa plays Northwestern, so it's only one additional Northwestern loss beyond that one.

But, yeah, Iowa does poorly in pretty much any tiebreak scenario.  They're fourth, two games back of Northwestern, and one game behind Wisconsin and Purdue -- but they lost to both Wisconsin and Purdue.

It's one additional loss by Northwestern out of just Minn and Illinois.  So that's unlikely.  And even if that happens, Wisconsin and Purdue would need to lose twice more each.  They play each other so that's one loss, but there there has to be three more losses in there somewhere.

Not gonna happen.

I'd love to play ND in the semi. I think the only way that happens is 1. we of course take care of business and 2. Clemson loses to Syracuse this week and either falls to 4 or Oklahoma wins out and moves up to 4 ... or the next-in-line 1 loss team (Washington State, WVU if they win out instead, Alabama if they lose to Georgia). It could happen.

Returning to The House That Harbaugh Built would be awesome. The only reason that stadium got approved was that the Niners looked like they might start winning again under Jim.

I have deleted the posts from the troll personally attacking posters and even threatening the proprietor of this blog. I have also banned him. I hope he does not return. If you see someone going into a UMBIG11 rant and spouting Adam Biggers every other word, please post in the Moderation Action Sticky. I watch that thread for reports of trolling.

Final, ultimate, most delicious stop on the revenge tour would be meeting Notre Dame for the NC. Nothing.....and I mean nothing could top off a season more than beating all your rivals, beating everyone who beat you last year, slogging your way through the playoffs only to meet the only team/rival that you lost to this year in the NC and them handing them their ass. Would be the best season ever.
