I early voted so I guess I'll open the thread.

MSU looks horrible.

They will be missing Bridges and Jackson big time.

They have Winston and Langford. Goins is average. Ward is terrible.

however Kansas looks good and very large.

Sparty is down 14 at the half, trailing by double digits most of the first. This despite Kansas getting called for 17 (!!!!!!!) fouls and MSU shooting 25 FTs in the first. Refs are keeping MSU in this one.

Nick Ward has yet to hit a shot.

Virginia, UNC and Nova all around 10 up on their cupcakes at the half.

This MSU team does not look like #10.  They don’t even look physical like an Izzo team. Since Izzo does not develop skill or much offensive continuity throughout the season, it’s difficult to see them being a top 20 team this year.

Winston is going to have a hard time getting going against good teams. He’s a better spot up shooter than off the dribble but nobody on their team can create other than him. He will rack of the assists but won’t score as efficiently as he did last year

Sparty will be overrated with the reasoning being "the year that winston and langford live up to their recruiting ranking". Ranking committee still hasnt learned that izzo has not adapted with the times.

It's really hard to gauge the first game though.

I mean Michigan was down 21-3 early to ND. And Kansas may have the best roster paid for in the NCAA.

I think it's better to start the year in each sport with an average. You don't look frazzled and you get a win. It has to help with a team's mojo. Better to play your bigger OOC game a few games in.

There's....not exactly a lot of people there. Either that or everyone thinks it's still Halloween, and they decided to come dressed as empty seats.

The "Champions Classic" has 3 teams that have won national championships in this century, went to last year's Sweet 16, and are ranked in the top 4. And MSU, which gets included for...reasons.

I see Matthews is still awful on O. Dude is a great defender, but just can’t shoot. They will beat teams 50-40 this year. Great D, questionable O.
