Sucks.  Thought he had a great personality and he a chance to be a great Vincent Smith-esque type of guy.  The timing is SO damned weird on these transfers, why leave now when the season is fun?  I know getting into the database is important but the difference of a few weeks can't be THAT big a deal that it can't wait until after the regular season/before the bowls.

It's a lot of work and serious time commitment if your hearts not 100% in it (for whatever reason). The daily grind can be rough even for those fully bought in or hopeful of future. No clue his situation but there's plenty of reasons to transfer and various times to do so. Maybe he wants to enjoy being a student for a bit while considering his next move. Who knows

Before all the inevitable comments about how much this sucks, you guys can’t have it both ways. We can’t get all excited about a class of 28 recruits when we have about 15 seniors. We all know attrition is coming. It’s not going to work for every kid that comes here. Wish him well and move on. Probably 6-8 more of these coming before the spring.

I don't think the people saying this sucks are referencing losing him as a player.  I think its more that Michigan is having a great season and obviously guys are unhappy enough with their situation that they want to leave.  That sucks, I'm not sure there is another word to describe it.

It’ll be interesting to see who is the main back next year. I could see them trying Evans, but not sure if that role really suits him; same with Tru. In a super small sample size, I like what I’ve seen from Turner. Seems to have a good burst but also a little bigger back. O’Maury is one I want to see emerge because he has the size and the speed.

If Shea stays, we will be fine with a deep stable of backs

Better to realize it and transfer now than wait it out all four years.  This is why I don't have issues with taking a flier on a lower rated recruit.  If it doesn't work out, chances are the scholarship will be open in a year or two.

People get really touchy when a kid gets processed but maybe it's what's best for the kid. During his recruitment it was said the coaches basically stopped calling, they still gave him a scholarship. It seems it was clear to the coaches from his senior tapes he didn't develop like they thought he might and tried to cut bait. He can always say he played for Michigan and maybe that's what he wanted but to transfer after a season and a half it doesn't seem like he was happy with his decision.

I really hope Chris Evans learns how to hit the holes fast, running straight ahead instead of bouncing around in the backfield. If he gets through the line and in open space, he is dangerous.

Best of luck to taylor!

Alright, best of luck to Kurt, seemed like a nice kid. Can anyone expound on RB depth after this season? I'll read below, someone probably has some knowledge.
