Alabama has played 9 games and has only been a favorite of more than 36.5 points once (Louisiana-Lafayette).

And they lost that game ATS.

36 1/2 is a very large number as it is.  Besides, (1) this is an ultimate "just win, hope nothing bad happens and move on" game for Michigan, while (2) Rutgers deserves some credit: they're over-matched but from everything I've read they haven't quit on the season yet either.  That says, at least, something.

I think the more interesting bet is "over/under" on 3 hours in terms of real time from start to finish.  Should be a lot of running the ball in this one.

I agree with this and I want OSU to have something to lose as well.  In other words, I want them playing for the east division and possible playoff birth.  If they are just playing spoilers for Michigans playoff berth, they will be playing with nothing to lose and Michigan will be playing with everything to lose. OSU at home should be favored vs Michigan as of now. I would say a field goal.

What I want is for Michigan to go into Columbus with the Big Ten on the line (can't have everything, so I'll settle for division) and come out with a win. Preferably a win that leaves absolutely no question that Michigan went on the road and dominated a Buckeye team that had a lot to lose.

I don't care what happens afterward. If Michigan is 12-1 and not in the playoff, that's on the NCAA, not on the Wolverines.

As for the state college of New Jersey, spreads are just informational. I'd be happy with a ten-point win as long as no one gets hurt. Happier if Peters gets some real playing time (not because of injury) and looks good.

Rutgers has been more competitive the past two weeks losing a close one to NU and only by two scores at Wisconsin.

Of course, their offense is still dreck and they can’t stop the run. UM is a nightmare matchup for them.

Speaking of Rutgers, have we begun vetting the refs for The Game?

Have to make sure we don't have 2 Ohio State fans and 1 Michigan State fan refereeing the most important game in our history

I'm thinking we'll throw maybe 5 passes all game. The goal for the next two games should be to get controlled wins and come out with no injuries.
