Have to give credit to rudywasoffsides for the idea in the fine thread.

I loved Bo, Mo, and Carr for the TOUGHNESS of our teams - Richrod and Hoke not so much or at all.

The GUTS Bush showed to stand there like that - as Darth Vader Dicktonio smirked, is a career defining moment.

Devin...you will go down on our HEROES list forever!

One really overlooked player moment like this was Jason Avant imploring the team and the crowd to beat Ohio State in 2003 when he was being taken to the tunnel after a (pretty gruesome) leg injury.  Avant was a really big piece to that team and I can see his injury having a deflating impact on the team that year and he really took it as an opportunity to motivate instead of pout.  He became one of my favorite Michigan players that day.

Yeah that is a part of Jason Avant, and you're quite right to mention it.

In the entire history of Michigan football over 130+ years, I am not aware of any man who came from deeper and more abject poverty and who accomplished more with his Michigan football scholarship.  We've had Heisman Trophy winners, All-Americans, players on the cover of Life and Time and Look and Sports Illustrated; we have never had anyone with greater moral courage than Jason Avant.

Devin's spirit animal must be a wolverine.  I hope he goes into coaching like his pops, and as a Don Brown disciple, comes back to UM at some point to instill fire into the next generation.

The only reason for the fine is because JH called Dantonio out. Jim was like a dog with a bone and I commend him for it, Brady would have apologized for turf scraping and the fine never have happened. Go Blue!

That part makes a lot of sense, but what's the point?  Is it like an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in a game that if they get another reprimand they get kicked out of a game or owe a fine at that point?  I'm just wondering...why?  Why a reprimand?

BAD Harbaugh, that was very very bad!

Was Dantonio fined?  I don't think he was.  I think MSU was.

Dantonio probably should be fined, or worse.  Dantonio was watching and supervising this near-disaster.  Absolutely no coach should have allowed this.  I think if Harbaugh had been there, he'd have been stepping in to stop it.  Either pulling his guys off the field, or running to speak with/intervene with Dantonio, calling the stadium police, etc.  But Harbaugh was underneath the stands, off the field, in the locker room.

Harbaugh's reprimand was for his post-game reaction.

This really is on the coaches.  Any Michigan coach who was on the field should have been pulling our guys off.  But above all, Dantonio is a complete outlaw for watching it all unfold in front of him without a word.
