Potentially good news for the good guys

Twitterstalking shows he's been retweeting pro-Michigan tweets before he de-commited on Twitter.
Twitterific!

Good name. Good player.
October 22nd, 2018 at 11:15 PM ^
Remind me again who was he friends with that we wanted?
October 22nd, 2018 at 11:15 PM ^
Lewis Cine, but that bird has sailed.
October 22nd, 2018 at 11:29 PM ^
Or has it?

I think you mean that ship has took flight.
October 23rd, 2018 at 7:54 AM ^
nah, that train has left the bus station

Ah, I'm picking up what you're stepping in!
October 23rd, 2018 at 10:36 AM ^
Okay, I see the tune you're playing now.

Sainristil is a Haitian name, for those like me who are curious about the etymology.
October 22nd, 2018 at 11:42 PM ^
Native pronunciation is sann-ris-TEEL, I think.
October 23rd, 2018 at 2:55 AM ^
I bet "Sain" is a shortened form of "Saint".

All 6 crystal balls are M.

Would be ranked higher if he wasn't from a recruiting wasteland. Lewis Cine used to play at that school and the two were inseparably linked as the best players in the commonwealth, but Cine went to camps then left to play in Texas and got noticed nationally and now he's getting paid to go to Georgia. Sainristil hung back and is currently leading the Bama of Mass football (they're literally called the Crimson Tide) to a 3rd straight state championship, since they took out Xavierian in their opener and toppled their big scary rival a few weeks ago. Sainristil's visiting for the Penn State game. His new coach this year played for Don Brown at UMass.

Kid is a BEAST.
@MGoBloggers, I highly recommend watching his tape.
I had the same reaction after watching Sainristil's tape as I did when I saw Khaleke Hudson's tape: "LOLOLOL, that's not a 3 star. WANT!"
October 22nd, 2018 at 11:59 PM ^
Damn, you're not kidding. Fast acceleration yet smooth; shows patience like an RB when returning picks; refuses to go down even once out of bounds or in the end zone.
WANT.
October 23rd, 2018 at 12:30 AM ^
The play where he chases the wr on the end around and almost makes a tfl on the other side of the field, wow! I be like, dang!
October 23rd, 2018 at 1:23 AM ^
Jesus, dude. Usually a 3* like that has committable offers to Bama, OSU, and Clemson, and I'm stuck wondering why the recruiting services don't see it. This kid doesn't have big time offers or a ranking.
If you showed me that tape without any background, I'd assume it was a high 5* player. I don't care about competition level, that dude caught anything that would have landed in a 20 yard radius and returned it to the house. As a WR, he adjusted to the ball well. As a RB, he was far more elusive looking than anyone on our roster. Wow. Mark my words, that kid is going to be playing on Sundays.
October 23rd, 2018 at 2:17 AM ^
He's 5'9" which limits him with the recruiting services, but should at least be a 4 star. Reminds me a bit of a Rondale Moore type of player.
Don't think he's a big hitter on D, but could be a great punt returner/slot receiver type.
October 23rd, 2018 at 5:03 AM ^
He's got some great cover skills, I wouldn't count him out as a DB
October 23rd, 2018 at 8:21 AM ^
I'd believe he's 5'9", actually. didn't really notice his being short until I read this comment.
October 23rd, 2018 at 1:30 AM ^
I know my opinion means nothing, but I prefer his tape over Jalen Perrys. Looks quicker, more fast twitch, though Perry is bigger. Perry looks more like a safety to me.
October 23rd, 2018 at 3:03 AM ^
Or Ronnie Bell. I remember watching his highlight tape thinking to myself how is it that 120 FBS programs aren't recruiting a solid 4 star talent.
October 23rd, 2018 at 8:19 AM ^
I had the same thought. You'd think there would have been about ALL of the MAC and half the American would have been all over this guy.
October 23rd, 2018 at 3:35 AM ^
Looks like a very athletic prospect with wicked speed. Kind of reminds me of Chris Evans in that I could see him at a number of different positions: CB, slot receiver, safety, RB, WR, KR, PR.
He does look short though, which is probably another reason for the lower ranking. Kind of like Devin Bush Jr. that way. I love these 3-star prospects who are excellent players but get underrated for being a couple inches shorter and/or playing in the Northeast.
October 23rd, 2018 at 4:40 AM ^
It’s impressive tape, though you can tell he speed up the play rate. Makes it a little harder to judge.
October 23rd, 2018 at 7:19 AM ^
Oh, for real? I didn’t catch that and just thought he was insanely fast.
In my defense, I had woken up with some heartburn in the middle of the night, so it was like 3 am when I watched it.
October 23rd, 2018 at 9:12 AM ^
I have no problems fessing up. My initial thoughts on Josh Mettellus committing were not pleasant (never posted about it, just kept it to myself). Now i just shut the fuck up and trust Don Brown. When we first started recruiting Sainristil, my initial 1 second reaction quickly became 'STFUATDB'. He does indeed look better than his rankings - as Don Brown finds these guys like Uche and Paye. Incredible.
October 23rd, 2018 at 12:06 AM ^
Good lawd! ? ??
October 23rd, 2018 at 5:25 AM ^
he's like charles woodson and anthony thomas combined, but faster. more like the flash, if the flash could actually fly.
very nice tape. looks poised, quick, and smart. someone mentioned a rondale moore comparison (that purdue player we all found out about on saturday) and that might not be far off.
October 23rd, 2018 at 6:47 AM ^
Nice tape! The kid is clearly a man among boys, though. I mean, the opposition was butt - which is why nobody scouts the North East, right? He'll have a learning curve against P5 competition, but he's got the skills, the speed, and the tenacity (watch those blocks - kid is heartless) to make it work.
Kids like this him, Khaleke, and Ronnie Bell (among others) are the 2 & 3 stars that Mick never got to coach up. The kind that are diamonds hidden in coal.
LOL - just keep sucking it, Sparty!
October 23rd, 2018 at 6:54 AM ^
Coming in as a slot?
October 23rd, 2018 at 7:19 AM ^
This kid, Dax Hill, Chris Hinton, potentially Zach Harrison....man...Don Brown is a dude. And it sounds like these outstanding defensive players want to be dudes too.
October 23rd, 2018 at 7:31 AM ^
In the first catch of that film he already shows more spacial awareness, finding an opening in a zone defense and sitting in it, than most of our current WRs.
I like his film, but damn he's small. Doubt 5'9" is legit and I don't see elite speed, but quickness. Good possession slot receiver.
October 23rd, 2018 at 8:45 AM ^
I agree with the awareness he seems to have very good "football" sense. I think he might be faster than you think - very athletic. He literally stopped and jumped right over a dude at the end of one of those longer plays.
October 23rd, 2018 at 9:16 AM ^
Sweet, thought that ship might have sailed but love the twitchers.
October 23rd, 2018 at 9:49 AM ^
D or O? If O im wondering if the Gray going elsewhere chatter has tread.
October 23rd, 2018 at 10:35 AM ^
The talk was that Michigan has been primarily recruiting him as a slot from the beginning.
It's clear that Harbaugh is trying to reshape the offense with his emphasis on smaller, electric players in this class. He may still want to run some 3 TE sets, but he also is going to have slots and backs that are threats to turn short passes into TDs.
October 23rd, 2018 at 10:17 AM ^
I see Mike Sanristil as a slot killer. We got Giles Jackson to Rondale Moore OSU, but we'll get Mike Sanristil so no one can Rondale Moore us.
October 23rd, 2018 at 10:26 AM ^
Are we recruiting him as a CB?
October 23rd, 2018 at 11:51 AM ^
Is he as electric as Rondale Moore and can he squat 600 lbs?
October 23rd, 2018 at 8:16 PM ^
Also in other recruiting news Crouch has listed Michigan and Clemson as 1a and 1b in his recruitment sounds like he’d already pick Michigan if it wasn’t for the weather
on a less enthusiastic note Wiltfong put in a crystal ball for Clemson 10/20 after Crouches visit
