"Yeah, I didn't think that was real respectful," Harbaugh said when asked if Saturday's events changed the tenor of his team's relationship with the Spartans. "You know my feelings on it. I think it's bush league, and I've got nothing else to say on it."

Harbaugh said that he didn't see the incident, but "apparently Coach Dantonio was 5 yards behind it all smiling."

Dantonio stood some 10 yards away on the other side of a partitioned media room when he was asked about Harbaugh's comments.

"That's B.S.," Dantonio said. "You heard me."

B.S, heh?

Even Lewerke admits they were late for their walk and that they ran into the Michigan players.

"We were doing our normal pre-game walk," Lewerke said. "I guess maybe might have been a little late. We always link arms, walk down the field. To my knowledge, (strength and conditioning) coach (Ken) Mannie had gone and informed the Michigan players we were about to do that and just asked them to step to the side. They didn’t, so we just kept walking. I guess one of them ran into one of the guys, and we just kept doing our walk.

If the non-handwavy, non-cap-pulling, non-bug-eyed Harbaugh can light it up with a stone cold burn like that statement, I think it lays to rest any notions that he's lost a little fire lately.  Adios, captain crazy khakis; guten tag, herr Harbaugh.

Just to clarify, M now leads the all-time series...

  • Football: 70-36-5
  • Red Rover: 1-0-0

Or would the Red Rover match be considered a draw since neither side captured all members of the opposition?

ESPN just showed the video with a zoomed in shot of Dan Tony following the line, exactly like Harbaugh said. Galloway’s response: “Let’s be clear, Devin Bush should not be on that side of the 50 yard line.”

What a douche.

If the MSU players don't wear their helmets when they do their field walk prior to home games, but did in this instance, then its pretty clear they were trying to incite fighting.

This wasn't just gamesmanship, it was potentially a dangerous situation, and Dantonio was there and a part of it.

This should absolutely not be tolerated and the league office should look into it.  But yeah, I'm not going to hold my breath.
