Did anyone else like the Ref body cam's?

I mean the resolution was low, but the on field in the middle of the play angle for me was really enjoyable. If anything it gives a good perspective about what the players see during a play instead of what we homers see from a camera 50 to 100 feet up.

Helpful for somethings - but might encourage ball watching by some of the referees when they need to pay more attention to other things - waiting for the official boxscore PDF for the penalties.

I like the perspective, but it seems like it shouldn't be *that* hard to boost the resolution and stabilize the picture. Hopefully this is some sort of prototype and they actually invest in better camera tech at some point.

Aside from what seems to be more frequent commercial breaks, I definitely prefer Fox’s broadcast over ESPN. Also, Klatt is a better color guy than anyone at the WWL

It's a good idea. They can be held accountable now by the B1G for what is actually right in front of their dumbasses. The B1G will probably fuck it up because they'll watch the replays too and not know what the hell they are seeing. Fricking idiots.

What was the impetus behind these cams? Just a cool innovation by Fox? I can see them being used by B1G and others to grade ref performance. Not a bad thing. Improve, rather than replace, refs with technology, if that's indeed what will happen.
