I wouldn’t focus on the preseason rankings at all. Just look at the last two seasons:

2016-17 Season

Preseason Coaches Poll:

MSU: 9th

Michigan: Unranked

Final Coaches Poll

MSU: Unranked

Michigan: 17th

2017-18 Season

Preseason Coaches Poll

MSU: 2nd

Michigan: Unranked

Final Coaches Poll

MSU: 11th

Michigan: 2nd

Some Michigan fans went on Twitter and roasted this scrub.

I'm not worried, Beilein will Beilein and half the teams on this list will probably be on probation by the end of the year

Haha!!  Aww, you're so young, innocent, and sweet...  You think there is good in the NCAA, and that they'll do the right thing.  How cute!!  I just wanna pinch those cheeks!!

The only thing more worthless than preseason college football rankings is preseason college basketball rankings

Remember when Michigan was unranked in 2016-17 and won 4 games in 4 days to win the B1G tournament after surviving a plane crash and then making the Sweet 16? I do

Renember when Michigan started the 2017-18 year unranked and beat Sparty’s “dream team” twice and made it to the championship game? I do

Juat doubt Beilein ESPN and continue to be thankful you have a job come April

Meh, rankings mean nothing in CBB, Beilein has proven that and so much more.  It is an honor to have him coach the team I grew up loving.  God bless him and his family.  Hopefully his heart surgery went so well that we get another 5-8 years with him.  This year will be interesting with such a young team, cant wait to see how he and the team handles it.

The MSU write up just made me laugh.  “They lost two lottery picks, but they have a group that might fit better?”  This makes no sense and John Beilein will continue to embarrass Tom Izzo.  I love John Beilein.
