OT: Adidas exec claims Bill Self demanded player payments in turn for Adidas contract

They don't care at all. Didn't they say that they will wait for the FBI to finish their investigation and then they will carry out whatever they plan on doing. I think it might be at least one full year before we hear anything from the NCAA.

KSU grad living in KC checking in. This whole situation warms my fucking soul and I want to inject KU people comments directly into my veins. So many of these fucking idiots thought these kids actually came to KS because of “Tradition”. I love living in KC, but I’m also not an idiot that thinks a kid from the Bronx came to Lawrence because he really wanted to. Some still don’t believe it, but many have moved on to, “what is Self supposed to do?”. “He isn’t paying them”.

Nice. Similarly, Duke fans believe that players like Zion Williamson (whose dad supposedly asked Kansas for some favors) turn down $$$ from Kansas, Kentucky, et al. just to play for saintly Coach K.
Side note: One of my neighbors from student days in Ann Arbor was (IIRC) headed to KSU for grad school (chemistry). Lost touch with the guy a *long* time ago ...

Between this and the “The Big 10 totally wanted us if the Big 12 collapsed” during the conference realignment days. KU fans are the absolute worst. I’ll never forget what a guy from my office told me. He is from Iowa and has no affiliation or interest in the local schools. Out of nowhere he just came to me and said, “you are right, they really are the worst fans. I thought you just said that because you went to KSU”. I laughed.

Considering Sean Miller is still coaching at Arizona, I would say Bill Self will survive this. There are far too many programs involved for the NCAA to do anything.
Time to put the banners back up. Remember, if you cheat, just make sure a lot of other schools are doing it concurrently so you won't get punished.

Because all of the major schools TV has fawned over for decades will be implicated in this by the time it is done, the NCAA will basically take a clean slate approach saying, okay, everyone starts over with no punishment, but if we catch you again...
That way all of the coaches can continue at their current schools and no key teams miss the tourney.
