I mean, did you not read the title. Loose lips sink ships. MLive is clearly working with us to have State forget about the fullback position.

If you're going to include sensitive information in your posts, at least write it in a way that State scouts can't interpret it. Even better, include contradictory information immediately afterwards written for them.

The gentleman from Connecticut did, indeed, participate in the fine sporting contest among midwest teams two nights prior.

Ben Mason hurt foot ouch. No play.

Multiple threads here have been created on the Ben Mason "did he or didnt he" play question and the answer i've read several times is "yes, he played".  I dont remember him playing but then again I wasnt exactly charting Ben Mason either so I take the board at its word that he did.

Is this just shitty reporting?

Thought that was more on Ambry not cutting it up behind Mason. The defender was shooting straight upfield on the jet action and it would have been next to impossible for Mason to seal him inside. Ambry needs to read that and cut up and let Mason kick the guy out/upfield.

Glad to see Harbaugh is really amped up. Seems like in the past he seemed to take the "every game's a big game" approach when we played MSU. I think it got personal for him when he blasted Dimtinio for his dumbass "I'll just keep on beating Michigan" comment. He's sick of hearing about his record against rivals.

I'd tell the guys that this is last game of the first half of the season, going into the bye week. Let's invade their stadium and rip out their hearts. The pre-game and postgame handshakes (if there are any) should be very icy indeed.

Nah, it's weird, as we know Harbaugh has somewhat gone after Dantonio on Twitter before but then when gameday comes both are yucking it up a little bit pre-game on the field.  I'm always surprised to see it but I think it's an alpha-male thing, both aren't going to back down and shy away from the opposition so they go out to mid-field and chat about basic bullshit.  Gotta be awkward as hell.

I'll say this: I saw a post about the possibility of the Milton package being instituted into the gameplan elsewhere in the Michigan Football interwebs on Saturday afternoon, and sure enough, there it was a couple hours later.

If I can find that on a board searchable on Google... Batten down the hatches.

I would bet that Ben Mason played at least 15 snaps on Saturday. I remember him missing a block on one play and absolutely killing someone on another block. Not sure why this has been so misreported.

I guess I have always wondered whether or not anyone at MLive ever watches Michigan games, but then when I see that the people who post in their comments sections seem both new to football and new to Michigan and have never accepted that with football comes occasional adversity, their articles make sense sadly.

mlive is pablum to help the fan march through hate week.  Well done, mlive!

JH's mindset is probably in unison with the players to stay laser focused on the next opponent.  Now that the whole organization has a win to hang their hat on they can see the unrelenting effort is paying off in the W column.  It stands to reason that for this opponent everyone dials in even more.

What if it weren't a business trip, but something fun, as if Pete Carroll were coaching USC again.  I have to wonder if "business" trips lead to players playing tight.  Lighten up and kick their ass.

I agree. For whatever reason, I have this weird feeling that our guys will be so ''amped up'' for this game that they actually won't be loose and ready to go. Like you, I am concerned they will come out playing tight. Hope I am wrong.

During the postgame interviews Coach Harbaugh, Chase, Karan, and one of the DB's each said, sometime RIGHT AFTER the Wisconsin game, "We got a big game next week". On the other side of the matchup, RIGHT AFTER the Penn State game, Coach D'antonio and Felton Davis, sometime in their respective interviews, both said, "We got a big game next week". This might be the biggest Michigan Michigan State game ever, in terms of both teams respecting the game.

I'm in the camp that hates calling this a rivalry game.  However, I'm OK with calling it an "in-state" rivalry because, duh, they're in the same state.

I reserve "rivalry" for OSU and Notre Dame.  Those are the teams that Michigan competes with (or at least used to) for B1G championships, high end recruits, national exposure.....things like that.  With all three of those teams in the Top 10....and ND back on the schedule next year.....it looks like it's coming around again.
