They are just spoofs of themselves now.  Buddy comedies with some explosions.  Some forget how truly mesmerizing The Terminator and T2 were.  A couple of the best action movies of all time but like most movie franchises it is just a money grab now.

Yeah, it's kind of politics.  And the most political thing going right now is the presumption that the redistricting proposal is just civics, and not politics.

It's politics, alright.

Everybody is free to make up their own minds about it; and there are arguments for and against.  I am against.  But I don't think that the mods want this forum to be used, by me, for that purpose.  And at the same time I wonder why they would allow this forum to be used, by others, to promote it.  I'm all set to go, if the mods wanted an interesting debate on the subject.

As a point of non-political and purely legal/academic interest, we would not even be talking about a redistricting commission but for a 2015 Supreme Court case, Arizona State Legislature v Arizona Redistricting Commission.  It was a 5-4 decision in which the now-retired Justice Kennedy was the deciding vote.  The majority and the dissenters were unusually bitter in their differences, over the interpretation of the Elections Clause (Art. I, Sec. 4, Clause 1) which states:  "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each state by the Legislature thereof..."
