Some RCMB Wisdom Heading Into This Week
Some Vorfreude from our friends in EL:
- Fuck Michigan.
- Not really our rival, but a nice tune-up game and opportunity to get healthy before our big game against OSU.
- to even put mcsorley and patterson in the same breath is laughable at best.
- They’ve played 2 road games. At ND and at NW. They have scored a total of 30 offensive points in those two games....
- Michigan football still looking for a signature win since last century.
- The talent isn't similar, especially on offense. Mcsorley is better than Patterson, Sanders is better than their backs, Penn States receivers are better, their line is better.
- Yale Football has 27 national championships (no joke), Michigan claims 11. They were all won in the same era of football, but only one of the schools brags about it. Yale fans are smart enough to know they mean nothing in the modern football era (1950+)
- They will have a tough time scoring on our D. We just shut down an offense that plays similar, but is more skilled at it, and on the road. Mcsorlie is like Shaevior, but with more skill, heart, and football IQ.

Beat Staee.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:09 PM ^
"Shaevior"? Lol. I like it.
October 14th, 2018 at 5:06 PM ^
E before A, except after Staee
October 14th, 2018 at 5:17 PM ^
I upvote in your general direction.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:12 PM ^
Next they will say that our defense is worse than Penn State... They will play us tough as always but if our Qb play and line are even 20% better than last year we beat them. I don’t see Shea turning it over like JOK did.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:15 PM ^
Harbaugh knew the key to last year was to beat MSU through the air and that is what he planned for. Unfortunately, last year was a monsoon with the worst Michigan QB of the 21st century.
I would expect Harbaugh to air-raid this Saturday.
October 14th, 2018 at 5:49 PM ^
I look for the game plan to be similar to what they did against Wisconsin. Come out with the spread and attack the edges, but likely more downfield shots than against the UW zone. Then start including more of the power run as the game goes on as they did Sarurday.
October 14th, 2018 at 6:04 PM ^
Hopefully the weather holds @mgoweather. Extended forecast is currently calling for around 45 degrees and 10 mph winds.
October 14th, 2018 at 6:52 PM ^
That would have made sense, if M had come out throwing the ball before the storm arrived in the middle of the game last year. But for whatever reason, that's not what happened. Then the wind and rain made having to play catch-up harder.
October 14th, 2018 at 7:36 PM ^
you must have missed 2008
October 14th, 2018 at 9:53 PM ^
Not the worst Michigan QB of this century.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:20 PM ^
we wont throw 5 picks, but i think ball security is still a concern heading into this game for our side
October 14th, 2018 at 6:45 PM ^
You think it is a concern for our side, and it is... but it is a panic for them, with more than twice as many turnovers as Michigan. We turn it over 0.7 times per game, they turn it over 1.7 times/game.
October 14th, 2018 at 7:48 PM ^
Just Shea's running ability would have won last year's game, even with JOK quality throwing.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:13 PM ^
These people are delusional
October 14th, 2018 at 4:31 PM ^
Yeah. Duh.
They cheer for a school full of disgrace and cover-ups and a program that does plenty of bullshit, too. Their current president may be worse than the last...
They are the scum of the Earth and the fact that they can still feel "pride" around that horrific place is utter BS. They have no souls and they make me so fucking sick.
October 14th, 2018 at 8:33 PM ^
They also said they would be better if they had not lost Demetria Vance, Donnie Corley, and Josh King for their sexual assault-they should be in jail -instead of being charged probation with an old law about seducing and sebauching an unmarried female.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:14 PM ^
The Penn State game is perfect. We got Sparty thinking they are the shit after beating a James Franklin coached team without Saquon Barkley and Joe Moorhead. Too bad MSU forgot their lost to a HERM coached team and at home to a NW team with NINE rushing yards.
MSU's hot takes are a lot like their DBs, out of position.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:15 PM ^
They are in for a rude awakening
October 14th, 2018 at 4:15 PM ^
I really hate that these are fellow michiganders, they have to be Ohioans that moved here just for a better life for their kids, right?
October 14th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
I will say, I've not found many people on that site who even skirt the boundaries of reasonable. I guess I really don't understand people who react this way and find elaborate means to discount talent and results to frame them in their favor. Maybe that means I don't understand being a fan of anything, but I'll be honest, it's easier to have a reasoned (relatively speaking) football discussion with some of the people in the Ohio State fanbase, I've found.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:31 PM ^
Its because State fans are coming from a place of deep insecurity.
October 14th, 2018 at 5:42 PM ^
They prove that they are.....
October 14th, 2018 at 4:50 PM ^
This is putting it nicely. That place is a disgrace to the human race.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
This game scares me. Wish I could be more confident, but the last decade has made me shell-shocked.
The thought of another year of listening to spartan slappies is almost unbearable.
Winning this week would be a huge sigh of relief.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:23 PM ^
I agree, this is by far the most important game IMO on our schedule.. We have got to beat msu.. they literally have 0 talent on offense other than Davis..
Funny reading the comments.. they think mcsorley is actually good this year?
Isn't he completing less than 50% of his passes? meanwhile shea is cruising along at like 69 % completion and has the most 20+ yard completions?
PSU's defense is also laughable.. I watched the highlights of both of Felton Davis's TD's last night and it was completely pathetic coverage..
October 14th, 2018 at 7:47 PM ^
That he was not double covered on the last two drives is a fire able offense imo.
Also anyone who is not prepared for a Dantonio fake FG or Punt is also a fire able offense.
October 14th, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
I hear you and I agree. On paper we are the better team. But the last decade has left me "shell-shocked" (nicely stated) as well.
The one nice thing is that in the 2 losses under Harbaugh against MSU we were extremely close. Given the talent disparity between the 2 teams the likelihood of them beating UM by more than 1 score is slim.
I was happy when I saw they beat PSU. Most importantly it amps the up the meaning and importance of this game. But it also gets their rabid fan-based revved up which makes this fun.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:18 PM ^
Lol. The whole "goal posts are moving" thing has never been more apparent. I wandered over to 11 Warriors just to see what they were saying since they were all so convinced that Wisconsin would beat us. It's incredible that UW is suddenly "terrible" and Hornibrook is the worst QB in the Big Ten. I think our rivals tried so hard to convince themselves that Harbaugh was overrated and just not a good coach that their brains won't let them believe what their eyes are seeing.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:40 PM ^
11 warriors talked all week about how we would screw up and lose and Wisconsin is good etc. the minute we took control they started about how bad Wisconsin was. Look, 1 team is struggling with Indiana and Minnesota and the other is blowing the doors off Wisconsin and Maryland. They get back Bosa and we match that with Gary and get probably our best Wr back soon. We haven’t had all of our weapons. They have. Deep down all of them know we are much better than last year and both MSU and OSU didn’t impress me. Let’s see how they like us having a line that can block and a QB who can complete passes.
October 14th, 2018 at 5:58 PM ^
In all honesty, I would be very surprised if Bosa came back for one game.
Right now he is possibly #1 and a sure lock NFL top 5 draft choice. Definitely the first choice of any team looking for D-line help (majority of NFL). Has proved all he needs to and can only hurt his draft stock should something go wrong or not be 100%.
I am sure he's talked with NFL insiders through his brother and they are telling him the same thing... There's nothing to be gained by returning.
October 14th, 2018 at 7:38 PM ^
I think that is the most logical move for Bosa to make, but I don't think you can overstate the amount of pressure he will have to play against Michigan.
October 14th, 2018 at 7:42 PM ^
hope i'm wrong, but i heard through the grapevine that gary may be done for the year. here's to hoping those grapes are wrong.
October 14th, 2018 at 8:30 PM ^
Yes, your grapevine is wrong.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:20 PM ^
They hate us. It's best to take off your Michigan hat if you stop at Burger King to get a bite to eat.
October 14th, 2018 at 6:43 PM ^
And remove your Michigan lawn/home decorations when you have your pizza delivered.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:24 PM ^
You have to give it to them. It’s impressive how well they can type while lacking opposable thumbs
October 14th, 2018 at 4:25 PM ^
Why is 1950+ the modern era? Did MSU happen to have a good stretch in the 50s or 60s? I like to think of the 70s on as the modern era. Where we have dominated the conference along with OSU.
Only 1 school can brag about history without having to place a thumbtack in time where it is convenient. I honestly will never get this “history but not that much history”
Ill be honest too many UM fans I know give to much credance to what MSU and OSU fans say. Dictate history as history or last winner only. Those are the choices.
- The talent isn't similar, especially on offense. Mcsorley is better than Patterson, Sanders is better than their backs, Penn States receivers are better, their line is better.
^^I agree with most off this. The only issue is PSU would give up 35 to Wisconsin. That is where the difference is. Unless monsoon 2.0 hits the teens wont be enough for sparty to win. Sitting on the ball for 45 minutes while JOKe plays catch eith the other team wont work this year.
October 14th, 2018 at 6:18 PM ^
Funny you mention this. If there is any fan base who loves to push a narrative, it’s a Sparty fan.
My Sparty friend (great human outside of his love for MSU) loves any opportunity to put Michigan on blast. See a guy decked out in Michigan gear “I wonder what year he graduated from Michigan” (which he graduated from a different school than MSU so yeah). Or the “we won 6 national titles in the modern era to your 1/2 title.” Dude acts like state broke up the Alabama dynasty. But we naturally live in the past.
They suck, and need to be put to bed so we can focus on bigger and better things.
October 14th, 2018 at 8:26 PM ^
Yeah you guessed it, though that was easy enough, those were like their programs peak years. They claim 4 in the 1950s and 2 in the 60s, 3 of the 6 are consensus championships.
October 15th, 2018 at 11:23 AM ^
Not to mention a couple of those titles were back when they awarded titles before bowl games. MSU has national championships despite losing their bowl game
October 14th, 2018 at 4:32 PM ^
Personally I don't understand why people bother to read rivals sites.
October 14th, 2018 at 7:31 PM ^
Probably for the same reason I listen to Valenti. He's that guy I love to hate.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:38 PM ^
I've visited East Lansing many times, but thankfully never drank their water, and I'm always going to consciously never do so thanks to RCMB.
Let me give this a try.
They'll have a tough time scoring on our D. Horneybrook is like Lewerkee, but with more skill, heart, and a far less shittier haircut. Michigan by 6 TD's.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:39 PM ^
A Michigan State fan thinking OSU is their main rival is about as rich as an Illinois fan thinking the same about Michigan
October 14th, 2018 at 6:13 PM ^
If I remember correctly, didn’t even Urban Liar tell Sparty that Michigan was their Rival and not MSWho?
October 14th, 2018 at 9:03 PM ^
Of course he would say that - he's 6-0 vs UM and has had national championship runs ended by MSU twice. If you had your pick of rivals to claim, you're going to claim the team you're 6-0 against if that's an option.
October 15th, 2018 at 9:16 AM ^
Rivalry is not based on who you recently beat. That is what modern media does to create a narrative
October 14th, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
they beat a overrated team that practically gift wrapped them the game with the amount of interceptions they drop and they expect to just destroy michigan. what a delusional fan base. This game is always won based on who has the better oline and dline. Michigan is superior on both sides of the line
October 14th, 2018 at 4:59 PM ^
They have The dumbest fan base in the nation.
