Golf Course Status?

Submitted by AeroEngin04 on October 11th, 2018 at 9:33 AM

Anyone know whether the golf course is going to be open or not?  It looks like there won’t be any more rain.

They clarified that statement afterwards saying that all reservations have been cancelled/refunded since the status is up in the air and they cannot promise those reserved spots. I'm guessing the decision won't be made until gameday.

I say plan for the golf course to be open, but also plan for the golf course to be closed.

UofM Golf course might be open.  I’d be surprised if AAGO was.

Edit:  Also, let’s all be careful not to say anything mean about AAGO or they’ll have Ira Mark create a username to come argue with us.

Edit 2:  never mind, Bando will do it for him.

AAGO sent us members an email on Monday to make arrangements for potential close, but they were not going to make it official until today.

With not as rainfall as anticipated, windy day today, no further rain and 3 weeks after Saturday to repair the course, frankly I would be pretty disappointed if they were closed this weekend.

Just called the AAGO and the pre-recorded message is still saying that it is only open for members, season pass holders and Parknparty ticket holders.   I don't know if that will change but if you want to check as game time gets closer the number is 734-663-4044 and press 6.   Having said this, the recording mentions the Maryland game???

Just another move by everyone involved at Michigan that hates night games. It will be open. But they are hoping people make other arrangements so it is not a blood bath of drinking on the course.
