Attack Each Day Podcast 10/9 feat. John Beilein

Excellent episode this week featuring John Beilein. This episode was particularly intriguing hearing Harbaugh and Beilein discuss the intricacies of coaching. Well worth the listen.

I started laughing hysterically at the part where Jack talks about his heart surgery and waking up to hear John and Jim arguing over playing chess.

For those who don't subscribe yet, this is an excellent weekly listen featuring Jim and Jack Harbaugh.

I listen to this podcast most weeks.  If you want to really understand Coach Harbaugh and don’t subscribe I highly recommend.  Plus it beats most everything else on the radio.

I was just going to post something on this when I got into work. This is a must listen for any Michigan sports fan. Coach Beilein and Harbaugh discussing coaching philosophy and Beilein's heart surgery and recovery. My biggest takeaway is that these are two very decent men who also happen to be great coaches, and in many ways the two qualities go hand-in-hand.

For every "Harbaugh going back to the NFL" flunky (and these are people who really secretly want him to, because they fear what he is going to build at Michigan), you should listen to the part where they discuss his grandson being born and all of the other new babies being born to the families inside the program. "It's all a family," he says.

Harbaugh and Beilein are cut from the same cloth. They see themselves as educators and leaders of young men, first and foremost. Beilein is basically on a life contract (wish he was 10 years younger) and I would give JH the same security. Michigan wants to win, of course, but it is about much more than that and both of these guys get that.

Totally agree. The sincerity of the Harbaughs is very apparent in these interviews.

While many people, especially rival fanbases, claimed that all of Harbaugh's Twitter adventures were just for attention, it's very clear from the podcast that 'enthusiasm unknown to mankind' is how he actually lives his life (eg sleepover, Judge Judy, going to class with Asiasi). He genuinely loves life and it's really fascinating listening to the stories from Jack and Jim.
