What the heck happened to Nebraska ticket prices?

Bottomed out big time.  $30 in Section 4.

I put out a tweet a couple days ago that they had already dropped below face. Once that happens the floor is gone and they can fall a lot. I bet you can get in for 10 bucks today just before kickoff.

Columbus also doesn't have an NFL squad & the state of Ohio doesn't have another high end football team.

If you totally removed the Lions as a football option & made Michigan State more like a Conference USA or good MAC program, my bet is it'd boost Michigan's attendance numbers and/or ticket prices by a good amount.

A better argument is that Michigan's student population has become much more out-of-state.  Kids with less connection to the football team turning into alums that aren't sticking around michigan.

The better, better argument is Ann Arbor is significantly smaller than CBus.  If UM were in say Sterling Heights or Warren or Mt. Clemens, I'm pretty sure tickets would be much more similar to Columbus.  You'd have a lot more fans with easier access to the stadium.  I mean, yeesh, CBus is a metropolis of 2M people.  Ann Arbor is a 120k college town.

Item 3 on your list would help me to watch more non-UM football games on TV also. I can tolerate commercials (barely) during Wolverine contests, but for other games I'm bummed by seeing the same Buick, Allstate, etc. commercials repeated for the third time BY HALFTIME. College games are getting nearly as bad as NFL games now.

They're terrible. And we aren't seen as playoff caliber at the moment. I was supposed to be there and didn't make the trip... Had too much to do around the house this weekend.

I live in metro detroit but I’m in Lincoln for a wedding, and came to the haymarket area to watch the game and there is literally not a single person at the bars. We walked to 4 and we were only ones at each. Apparently no one cares here!

My brother and I sold our extra pair for $110 apiece the day before the SMU game and thank goodness that we did, seeing as Nebraska lost to Troy the next day. I checked prices a few days later and saw that they had already started cratering. We got capital L lucky.
