I would be surprised if either of those players transferred. St Juste was always going to take 2 or 3 years to have a shot at seeing the field, and Villian is hurt(which would make a transfer incredibly silly).

From all the comments in the past few days from the insiders and message boards, my assumption is that it's Casey Hughes. He's not injured or practicing. The depth chart appears to be too tough for him to crack his senior year. This is conjecture on my part but the only name that I can think of.

It's just weird since he literally said something to the effect of "I don't care how much I play or where I play, I just want to win", but then apparently decided 2nd string DB reps and special teams didn't satisfy that.

You might want to double check your source. He started one year, didn’t do much and was not guaranteed to be the starter had he stayed.

It doesn't seem like Casey Hughes is going to be doing much with the football team this year, but I'm not really sure why he would transfer. It's not like he can find another team really quick. Might as well get a grad degree at this point.

If it is indeed him, with all he knows from the inside of the team, it would seem wrong for him to transfer to Ohio St, Wisconsin, Michigan St, etc. Could this happen?

Indiana just lost a grad transfer QB today. It's pretty close to the deadline for them to transfer again, bu not past it. It shouldn't be hard to find a team where playing time will be easier to find. If Hughes was a WR with a similar background, we'd take him. That's assuming he could still get admitted, far more likely at many other schools that at Michigan.

Maybe he goes back to Utah? Don't know the situation, but this late in the summer, its the only relatively big school where he could get some playing time. If he goes to a smaller school, then maybe he gets on the field as the season progresses.

4 former-walk-ons got scholarships this week (appears as of Tru Wilson’s was announced a day after the initial 3) and that brings us to 86.... so someone previously on scholarship left the team.

BSJ wasn’t seen practicing but was there. Hughes was not seen. I don’t think any lineman were on that report either.
