Since more rumors will inevitably start surfacing as we approach decision time, and there's potential for actual news to occur, here's a consolidated thread to post anything about the situation in Ohio, or Maryland, or students selling shoes, or whatever, hopefully to keep from cluttering up the board with every new screencap of twitter or bucknuts.

Umbig11 indicated it wasn't really a new development. The way I read his comments back in July, it involves a previously-reported incident but now the press have proof that he and some other coaches tried to cover something up. Anyone can feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

McMurphy clarifies his recent story and adds a bit of detail:
“The main reason I reported it is because Zach Smith was an employee at Ohio State having sex with a subordinate in the football office. He (took pictures) on a phone he conducts university business on. He was having all the (sex toys) items delivered, not to his personal home, but his place of employment.
"This goes toward the lack of credibility this guy has when you factor in (the other stuff). The woman he had sex with was reassigned to another department in the summer of 2015. She was reassigned after what went on, but he remained employed.”
So yeah, it seems OSU was aware of this.
Also: is it legitimate under Title IX to reassign her but leave him untouched?

This is a much bigger deal than the initial story, which regrettably focused on the sex toys and dick pics. If Meyer and staff knew he was screwing a subordinate and quietly swept it under the rug by reassigning her, that's another fire-able offense for Meyer.

I'm hearing credible reports that, at the very least, Urban Meyer's dog is in the clear. Everyone seems to agree that he is a very good boy and that, while he thinks he's people, he does not understand human language well enough to be held accountable here. He did pee in a closet in March of 2016, but the Meyers had failed to let him outside for long enough that this was inevitable.

No way, dude. That dog has been aggressively humping legs since 2009. Meyer knew all about it, as did his wife, but they kept it a secret. Well, they did once tell him he was a "BAD, BAD BOY!", but that's as far as the reprimand went.
