HTTV? It's coming; stop emailing seth please

Submitted by bighousechris on

Anyone else still waiting to receive the Kickstarter HTTV?  I’m in the Lansing area and every day I think today will be the day.....

Yeah, I have the mobile link but I prefer to have the actual mag given the format.

I think next year I may just wait and order it from the mgostore.  Seems like that’s the quicker option. It stinks that you think you’re getting put at the front of the line by being a backer.  Trying to be patient, but this sucks.

[EDIT-SETH: https://mgoblog.com/content/yes-your-hail-victors-coming] The upshot:

Your books are fine, and are shipping on schedule. It’s just that, as we mentioned previously, our schedule this year was backed up four weeks from normal. This had nothing to do with the printer or shipping. It’s because our whole staff had medical issues ranging from serious to life-altering this spring, and then we had a website relaunch. The last article wasn't submitted until after the date we usually have the first shipment of books in hand.

That was 10 days ago; they said up to 14 and most should arrive before that. I'm positive the Midwest was at the bottom of the stack this year, or that they were working from both ends, because Cali/Hawaii (high) and East Coast (low) zip codes arrived first and I'm still waiting on mine.

The MGoStore may be earlier than Kickstarter next year for like a third of the Kickstarter backers, but it doesn't come with a digital edition. Again, sorry it's taking so long.]

Someone ordered me one, and I received it two weeks ago (I think).  And then received the ones I ordered a few days ago.  Not sure that makes it any better for you, but thought you'd appreciate the answer.  Also, I know there was some concern about the books being damaged, but all three of them arrived just fine.

Came out online like a month ago. In this day and age where everything is so easy to access online I’m not sure what everyone is complaining about with their HTTV showing up in the mail.

Then again I also didn’t order signed copies so maybe that’s it.

Received mine today in metro Detroit.

Lucky for me it was delivered on a day where it was raining all day. Needless to say the envelope and magazine inside were completely soaked. :(

It was in the mailbox but I have one of the wider/shorter boxes as opposed to the thinner/longer style...miss my country mailbox.

Think it was just a bit of bad luck with the constant rain all day long and the paper envelope.

If you guys offered an option in the future to ship in a envelope like Amazon uses (bubble lined poly mailers), I'd be willing to pay to decrease the likelihood of rain damage/bending.

I live just south of Metro Airport and it hasn't arrived yet, but then I look at it like this -  as long as I have about a week to read it before we punch Notre Dame in the mouth, I am fine.

My brother (Chicago) and I (Atlanta) were talking last night and neither have received.  Not complaining - just sharing for statistical purposes.

Good lord. We get a thousand threads about this from impatient people every year. Just wait.

The Canadian postal service is fine, and in my experience has usually been slightly better than its American counterpart; it's customs I worry about. They seem to arbitrarily hold onto some packages and charge duty at random. I swear customs has fabric-smelling dogs (they like to charge duty on clothing).

I got mine earlier this week in Brooklyn.  The content is awesome, but the print is so small, my tired eyes may have to go to the online version!

I was absent from the board during the Kickstarter (for the most part), so I ended up buying a copy afterword. I received my digital copy immediately and my HTTV hard copy came within 2 weeks. I’m surprised people are still waiting.

Maybe it’s because I live in Florida?

Still waiting here in Tampa, FL. Was an early backer as well.

Edit: To paraphrase a previous post: "I have the digital version and I am not upset. Just hoping this info helps."
