Submitted by kevbo1 on

Apparently, Ale Kaho was unable to get into Washington and was just notified of this a few days ago. In the matter of three days, he is at Alabama and practicing.

A Seattle Times story said he had not completed a certain High School course.  Washington is a good school and as such has some standards and maybe he decided not to do that course, failed it, or didn't know about it. Alabama doesn't have that stringent of an academic requirements, as said by saban himself.

Yes, the truly needy.

I'm going to try to avoid watching Bama opening weekend.  It really gets old watching them in their first game and you already know by halftime they're going all the way.   Even if they don't win the SEC.  Even if they lose in November.  Makes no difference.

This got old long ago.

Interesting, because last I heard UW granted him a release so that he could be closer to family.

“His family was really adamant that he needs to — he’s going through some stuff and he needs to be close to his family,” Petersen said Monday. “And we get that. You’ve got to do the right thing. We wish him the best.”

His hometown is Reno, Nevada which is 705 miles from Seattle. However, it is only 2,240 miles from Tuscaloosa.  So glad he is closer to his family.

Seattle Times story says that he didn't get admission as he still needed to complete one more HIGH SCHOOL course.  I also hear that Alabama has a good engineering school to boot!

He’s known for sometime. Dude has family issues and requested a release awhile ago. Parents divorcing, grandparents have some sickness etc. but what’s interesting is he lives in Nevada and as soon as Peterson agreed to 100% release he goes to Bama! He’s on campus already practicing w them.

I saw this when it was announced.  You feel for the kid until he goes to Bama.  Then you realize a lot of what’s said is BS.  Too bad.

Wasn't he granted release from Washington due to family issues and personal reasons? Based off of what I've heard, he lied his ass off to get from Washington to Bama
