That's very doubtful. I'm too cynical about what teams actually do in a case like this. Obfuscate, wait, deny, find ways to apologize without actually admitting anything was done wrong.

Fact: urban Meyer is in a position where it is his job to lead the program, including knowing when his staff are beating their wives and not tolerating that shit whether the wife presses charges or not.

Fact: there is enough evidence to exceed plausible deniability that Smith beat his wife

Meyer is guilty in the court of public opinion because of all the evidence we see.  That’s waaaaay different than blindly supporting him because he’s good at the footballs where players don’t play school.

If you want to pretend that’s not a big deal and that he’s a coach with supporting, go ahead. But just be honest that the only reason you’re supporting him is because he’s a damn good football coach. If you really think that anyone believes in your self deluded self righteousness, you truly are one of the dumbest human beings on the planet.

Did he keep Smith on staff after two offenses of criminal trespassing, one of which he was arrested for?  A matter still in the hands of the courts. And in Ohio they take it pretty serious, punishment ranges from 30 days in jail to 6 months.

Urban is a POS. Has been forever. You know his MO from Florida. You also know OSU isn't going to fire the guy because for them it's all about the Ws.

What investigation you need? See the texts and he was still employed. The investigation is only going to confirm if he reported up. Even if he reported to Title IX office, I ask you why he kept him in the job for three additional years. Do you need a Title IX office to decide This? Common sense is all you need.

We already know the following facts:

1) Meyer knew of Smith's abuse in 2009 - he admitted this.

2) Meyer knew of Smith's abuse in 2015 - he also admitted this.

3) Meyer, in spite of this knowledge, kept Smith on his staff and even promoted him.

4) Meyer lied about all this on Media Day - also by his own admission.

All we're really waiting for is whether or not he did the legal minimum in 2015 and reported Smith to his superiors.  That may change whether or not he is fired with cause.  It doesn't change the fundamental issue, which is that he turned a blind eye to Smith for a decade.

No investigation is going to justify hiring Smith and retaining him through all of his actions, only to  fire him immediately after McMurphy published his story. No investigation is going to explain away his hypocrisy. No investigation is going to justify his performance at the press conferences. He's admitted that.

OSU's investigation is about one thing. Support firing Meyer with cause to save $$. Going through a serious process with that committee helps protect them from litigation and protests from Meyer's supporters. 

It only takes a phone call to find out if Meyer had been filing Title IX reports on Smith. Do you place him on leave if it appears he's in compliance with his contract and you want to keep him?

Do we expect the committee to investigate what was behind Smith's claim that he could take everyone down with him? That's me making a joke. Two weeks is enough time to document failure to do mandatory reporting.

Here you are wrong regarding the facts. In abuse cases like this the facts are always worse than we will ever know...that's ALWAYS...got it. Playing loose with "allegations" and "innocent until proven guilty" in these matters is a definition of evil. Here our usually excellent system of justice makes the victim guilty until proven innocent and protects hideous abusers-that is "fact". There is plenty of "gray area" in cases of these sorts but the "facts" are not one of them. 

Are you either stupid or naive enough to believe that urbz's wife, who I believe is a nurse, didn't tell him, "Hey, one of your assistants is beating his", seriously???

That would be the case if this was a stand alone incident, but he has a trail of bloodied women(and men) following him all the way back to Florida.

His own prior statements confirm his lack of compliance off the field...2 years ago he even tweeted that he doesn't care about reporting shit, that he is just here to coach.

Damn, Heywood, I am sick of your shit. The facts ARE known. Your concern-trolling is a thinly veiled attack on #metoo. Who knows why you're so against it and I really don't give a damn. Zach Smith abused Courtney Smith and Urban Meyer knew about it and did nothing. 

He knew in 2009. They couseled the Smiths. Then again he knew in 2013 and told the university. He's admitted both.

So how many times does a person get to beat the shit out of their with before they are fired? 

And as the boss, how many times does he get to look the other way and not do a damn thing about it?

That's what this is about. You have a moral obligation to fire and report such behavior, as well as as protecting OSU because this is a business they are running and there are rules and regulations that must be followed. So Urban failed in both avenues. Get a clue.
