I need these David Harris days to move faster. I love summer weather, but am so ready for our favorite sport to make its triumphant return. I have high expectations for this season, even with the tough schedule. Good teams find ways to win difficult road games. We're going to see what this team and coaching staff are really made of this season. No excuses anymore. Year four and we have the talent to win. Fucking do it.

Moved out of Ann Arbor (for a second time) about a month ago and did Zingerman's lunch, Buddy's dinner on the last day.  It was a delicious but sad day.

You say it is pricey, but that is an opinion more than fact.  Is Zingermans more expensive than some of the better delis in NY?  Nope, it isn't.

Here's the menu for Katz Deli in NY.  https://www.katzsdelicatessen.com/menu_and_local-delivery

ll take Zingermans over Katz for one reason and it is not something minor when talking about sandwiches.   Zingermans makes better rye bread, according to Saveur Magazine, the best rye bread in the US, and you can't have a good sandwich without good bread. The meats Zingermans uses are top of the line. There is a reason Zingermans is always full and it's because of the quality of its products and the customer service. On top of that, the company takes very good care of its employees.

I get that many students and others are not in a position to afford Zingermans, but it is a world class deli and I'm delighted it is located in Ann Arbor.

2 summers ago I traveled from Up North to Detroit Metro Airport with my 2 labradors to pick up 2 of my daughters-- unfortunately they were flying from 2 different areas of the country and their flights arrived 4 hours apart.  I decided a trip to Zingerman's was in order.  It was a hot day and they were as attentive to the dogs as they were to us.  And of course, everything was delicious.

Yeah, it's kinda pathetic how small the sandwiches at Zingerman's nowadays. I don't have a problem paying $18 for a quality sandwich with good ingredients every once in a while, but a pastrami or corned beef should have more than like 6oz of meat on it.

Last time I ate at Zingerman's was about 20 years ago.  The sandwiches were pricey relative to other delis but I remember the corned beef (or whatever meat) stack was thick as hell.  I busted my gut trying to finish the whole thing and I had a good appetite back then.  Guess things have changed.
