Just ran 11.25 miles and the Nadal/Djokovic match is still going on.
I note no college football listings. therefore your title is inaccurate. never trust an oligarch with your sporting news....
I deliberately omitted the golf in Scotland today.
guessing your agents will hack into the leader board. i can hear the announcer now, with a thick scottish brogue: "well hoot man! we just had a leader change. mac macarlson was leading and suddenly some european named ivan borschke made up 14 strokes on one hole! how can it be, man!?"
And just like that Joker breaks for the final. Serena v. Kerber up next.
And Kerber vs. Serena
It is indeed a super Sabado sensacional.
And speaking of JV, apparently he and Kate are expecting their first child.
Congratulations to them!
It's nice to see that Verlander has stopped pulling out and shooting it all over her back then taking a photo of it.....
Let’s go Kerber!!!
My apologies, don't understand the new site. :(
Anyway, why would you root against Serena?!
just don’t like her. Kerber is way more attractive. My granny would smack me for saying that lol.
me thinks this one of those "special occasions" when you root against an American.
Me thinks... wait me knows... you are a complete idiot.
I'm with ya on Serena. I don't know why but I have a tough time cheering for her.
Congrats to Kerber.
Way to go Djoker!!!
OP, would love to have upvoted you but for the disrespect not listing Serena!
Really fantastic match earlier. Tough loss for Rafa. Hope the Saffa (and former B1G athlete) Kevin Anderson can take Novak Sunday.
Serena does not look sharp at all.
Meh.
Tomorrow will be just absurd, with the men's final at Wimbledon, the TdF stage going through cobbles (almost invariably a crazy day when the Tour makes such an excursion, gripping stuff) and of course the World Cup Final.
Less known, but local: The short course off-road races at ERX in Elk River, MN. Affordable and fun. Took my kids to the first day yesterday, we had a blast.
Sounds boring
It really does for those of us that don't like tennis and cycling. I've really enjoyed the World Cup but the consolation match doesn't move the needle for me.
Men's semi-final matches both go over 5 and 6 hours
Women 6-3 6-3 , bet is wasn't an hour.
Equal prize money. Right there was the start of the convoluted world we now live in.
I'm just saying.
Must have got downvoted by the PC crowd. I really don't care about the relationship between gender and prize money. It should be based on the revenue generated by the sport. I don't really know if men's tennis generates more revenue than women's, but women's tennis is likely close as opposed to the large gap with the PGA tour vs. the LPGA.
There's no way I'm watching five sets/hours of a tennis match.
I also find women's college softball more watchable than college baseball.
If I'm channel surfing and a game is on the line when I don't have a strong rooting interest, I might stick around. Five hours? No way.
That's funny, it seems to me that comments like yours (not well thought out, subtly sexist) are more like the "start of the convoluted world we now live in". But, I'm just sayin...
UFC on fs1 from 6-11pm (mountain).
All 3 kids had 2 hour practice this morning.
Currently watching 'Book of Manning' on sec network, after catching the end of 1997 championship football, big10.
The only good thing you listed is the tennis match.
TDF has had some good stages. Can’t believe cavendish and kittel have done nothing. Young sprinters are taking over if not for Sagan stealing one sprint and dominating the slight uphill stage. Mountains to come wonder if Froome or Thomas will lead sky and if anyone can beat them.
Froome is the obvious pick, assuming he gets through the cobbles in one piece (didn't last time). He has a Giro in his legs, though, and it's been a long time since someone has been at their best after running a Giro.
Cav is old, and while I haven't done any sort of study on it, I wonder if the rest of the field have caught up to him--one of his big advantages in his heyday was superior aerodynamics, and if other guys have mimicked his approach with better physical condition, he's got nothing to fall back on. Tough to see, but it is what it is. The young guys are really putting the old sprinters out to pasture.
Sagan, OTOH, is in his prime and is incomparable at what he does.
Minus the World Cup and Stanley Cup Finals, the summer is an absolute deadzone for sports. Just my personal opinion, but watching tennis and regular season baseball are probably the lowest on my sports totem pole. I’ll go to a baseball game, but that’s more a social outing than anything.
Just makes me ready for football that much more....
