The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired the rights to offensive weapon Denard Robinson in the trade for defender Eric Striker.

Gardner is currently listed as the 3rd string QB, and it appears Denard hasn't taken a snap yet, but it would be pretty cool to see them play together again.

It's a long way from South Florida to Saskatchewan, but I'd love to see Denard in a RR uniform. In some ways the Canadian game is more wide-open than the American version, so maybe he'll get the opportunity to do what he does best.

He is not actually that close to playing for the Rough Riders.  This article is from a week ago and they basically just traded for his rights, but it is unclear if he wants to play in Canada.  Toronto held his rights before and could not convince him to play up there.  I saw in an interview where  the Saskatchewan coach stated that he took a chance on his rights because Devin Gardner convinced him to.  I would love to see it happen though.

Devin Gardner one of my favorite Michigan players. Every time I think of him, I just imagine what could have been if he had at least a wet paper towel in front of him instead of that o-line.
