Submitted by poppinfresh on

Per the young man's instagram he has cut his list to three and its being reported the three will be Michigan, IU and OSU with a decision "coming sooner than later" per some insiders

I think he's ours, but I am irrationally slightly worried about Indiana because they pulled out a really good 2018 recruiting class when they really had no business doing so

Morris, Burke, Walton,  then of course we have Simpson now.

The young man will be turning away from a system that has a proven track record of developing guards. . .

If he says no, all you can do is tip your hat. . . Beilein will just do what he always does, work with what he has and overachieves.

This has to be good news for Michigan.  Wisconsin was thought of as the main threat to Michigan's chances of bringing him in.  With him removing Wisconsin from the picture AND choosing a date in the near future to announce a decision, it must mean he's leaning towards Michigan.  Great news!

Carton's a program changer, you can put pieces around him for three years and you're going to win big games. Not that Michigan is in need of any change but he solidifies it. He's going to be tough to stop. The kid is a point guard that can throw it down at ease. You take away his outside game, he's going to penetrate at will and make things happen however he chooses if he has the players around him. Hopefully he's already realized there is no better stage and opportunity for him than Thee Wolverines. Go Blue Baby!

As far as I can tell, he's cutting his list to three tomorrow. I understand the optimism, but nobody has confirmed that we're in the top 3.

Good news, but really no surprise.  Sam Webb had basically predicted this.  He also said that an earlier decision favors Michigan.  If Carton draws it out all of a sudden, things become less certain.  But if the insiders are correct, an earlier decision is good news for the good guys.

Beilein's cleaning house in the Big Ten recruiting. Currently leading (Wisconsin is actually second) the Crystal Balls race. Think he could very well be JB's first McDonald's All-American given his rankings (given we actually land him)
