You beat me to this by about a minute.
But anyway, great signing for both parties.
Damn, GRIII has done a lot better financially than I expected when he declared for the draft (and once he was drafted). Good for him, he's made some solid bank in the league.
Well at least there will be one reason to watch the pistons this year.
The Stones need slashing wings that can finish, combined with the draft, we got better on the cheap.
Pure Awesome! Go get 'em, Glenn!
+1 That would be pretty cool.
Good deal for both parties. Pistons needed a 3&D wing and that’s what they’ll get. Low risk contract for Pistons and solid chance for playing time for GRIII. Win-Win
Very cool. Now I have to get a GR3 jersey.
It looks like Nik Stauskas will sign with Portland. Per 24/7....
"it appears that Stauskas is headed to the West Coast after signing a one-year deal with the Portland Trailblazers. The contract is for the league-minimum salary, which, according to NBCSN analyst Peter Socotch, is expected to be worth $1.6 million next season."
"The Nets opted against tendering Stauskas a qualifying offer, which would've made him a restricted free agent for the Nets. Instead, he became an unrestricted free agent."
Good to see he is still in the league but his career hasn't gone as well as hoped considering he was a top 10 pick.
Stauskas always felt like a stretch as a lottery guy simply because of his defensive limitations. He just can't stay on the court long enough to get going offensively, and that's where most of his value lies. Still good to see him get another chance.
Well deserved!
Great news. I do wonder what this means for Stanley Johnson, since he's underwhelmed thus far and seems to be the odd man out.
Stanley will be on the last year of his rookie deal next year, so this will likely be his final year in Detroit. There's always the chance that Casey helps develop his game this year too, but I wouldn't bet on it.
