Another Kolesar to wear The Winged Helmet?
From the pen of Angelique Chengelis:https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/wolverines/2018/06/29/caden-kolesar-son-john-kolesar-former-michigan-receiver-determined-follow-his-own-path/745644002/
...in yesterday's Detroit News.
Caden Kolesar, a 3⭐ATH, 5'10 195lb, and potentially 3rd generation Michigan Legacy, is giving Michigan serious consideration as he nears his senior year at Westlake (oh) St. Edward HS.
And because I know the "stars mafia" is always lurking and ready to attack given the opportunity, yes, Kolesar is a 3⭐ ATH and his best offers so far are from MAC schools or lower, though he's also being looked at by Northwestern, Purdue, and Boston College. He did take an unofficial visit last year to Ohio St and was told they were interested in him as a PWO; his response to Angelique was that he's not interested in going that route.

Though primarily a safety and kick returner so far as a prep, Caden worked out at slot receiver in a recent visit to Michigan.
Game winning TD catch some November day to beat the Buckeyes? One can dream, right?
I gotta think if there’s a spot.... Harbaugh gives this dude a scholarship.
Right now....PWO.
The Michigan Stars Mafia doesn’t stop with scholarship spots anymore, they go full troll even when PWO spots are given to kids that don’t meet their stars threshold.
But hey, even ridiculous viewpoints should be respected. Right, MGrowOld?
But, please, only if he's talented.
I'm all for tradition and loyalty but it seems we've funded the educations of the Wangler boys with zero productivity on the field in return.
I’m hoping Harbaugh offers him too!
i was in Ann Arbor when John (his father) played. Great player and a really good guy. I’d love fir their legacy at Michigan to continue!
I was there too. Kolesar was a bona fide stone cold Buckeye killer
Ill be that guy. Is a guy with a boston college, purdue, northwestern offer really good enough to get a scholly? Trust the coaches but he probably wouldnt be considered if he wasnt a legacy.

He doesn’t have an offer to any of those schools

Buzzkill.
You mean like Braylon Edwards?
the late-blooming 6'3" track star always a great comparison
I hope it works out for all concerned. John Kolesar and JH teamed up for one of the most memorable plays I've ever witnessed in the Big House - the long TD that broke Ohio States back in the 4th quarter in 1985.
Unforgettable in every way
He’s not an elite athlete. If he were to be given a scholarship by Harbaugh, it would be as a favor to the Kolesar family.
Not elite, only a 3⭐, we get it.
Slow, too... 4.45 in the 40.
Probably a lunchpail kid, gritty, gives 200%, you know the rest.
One thing for sure, though: academics aren't going to be a problem, since Ivy League schools are reportedly among his choices.
4.45 is fast if its a real time
I knew his father, who had mega wheels....John could fly. But these legacies need to be a get if deserve it only... Not due to nepotism.... because it sure has seemed the increase in nepotism started around the time we started tanking... and not one son has come close to outplaying or even equalling the father, so it's a losing proposition
Braylon Edwards would like a word.
I played some flag football with John Kolesar after college. His wheels were just awesome to watch.
We had an impressive team of athletes. Our QB had tried out for the cowboys and we had a bunch of MIAA skill guys along with Kolesar. We were all in our mid twenties.
We got our asses kicked by this group of “old” fat guys that knew what they were doing.
