There are...
...days until Marty Huff (LB 1967-1970) sees his Wolverines shut ND down on defense in South Bend!

Already so close, it's amazing! Not in 100% football withdrawal mode yet so I'm hoping summer lasts a little longer though...
Go Blue and To Hell With Notre Dame!
For today's vid, here is Mr. Huff in his senior year, beating another rival of ours....

As always, thanks WH and enjoy!
That was some good footage. That team played with serious tenacity. The linebackers, including Huff, missed more than a few tackles in that first half. But they were lights out in money time in the second half. Let’s hope for more of that 2nd half dominance with this year’s team.
His son Ben was at Michigan (and was also an LB, I believe) around the same time I was at Michigan. One of the more interesting things about the "There Are..." series on a Michigan blog is that there is always this slight possibility that you'll run into the father / son of a previous post, or at least moreso than in other places. It's one of the things that makes these posts neat little windows into team history too.
lost ben way too soon. He was such a great guy
I love these posts, the pictures, and the history lessons. It would be fun to watch a football game today.
And Gene Steratore retired!
Was watching Under the Lights game on BTN last night. Our entire defense feels so much better than the one ND played that night. Can't wait until Michigan puts their D to the irish. Havoc abound.
Roger Zatkoff would be wreaking havoc in the ND backfield as well.
