Duncan Robinson to Heat for Summer League
Chris Haynes reports Duncan will be joining the Heat for Summer League.
Look out for Duncan and Walton sharing the floor this summer.
That's great news! The Heat have 10 guys under contract, didn't draft anyone, and don't have cap space to go after free agents over the min. He could work his way into one of those last few spots in the summer league. Also can't wait to see him play with Walton. Should be fun.
A foot in the door... After his defensive progression this past year he has a chance, and Miami looks like the place to be given their lineup and payroll issues. They are $19 million over the cap with a sad looking lineup. They will have to shed some higher paid players and who knows if Dwayne Wade will return next season.
From Div 3 player to NCAA Div 1 National Championship game to the NBA Summer League. Player improvement is a good Beilein thing... Here's hoping he makes it to the team. He's a great kid and a great player.
Congrats to Duncan! He was such a good teammate, and his shooting stroke is something special. He will find a role as a professional basketball player for years to come. That may be abroad, but I'm hoping for his sake that he can get a foot-hold in the NBA somehow. This is a great first step for him.
Good for Dunc. I think he has an outside shot of finding a role as a spot up shooter off the bench.
Where's his buddy Andrew Dakich gonna play summer league?
