Ben Davis at Bama is an interesting case - he was an absolute beast (top 10 recruit in 2016) in HS and Bama / NFL legacy.  On top of that, he is from Tuscaloosa and a fan favorite.

He seems to be lost on the depth chart and Bama has already recruited over him.

What happened to that 2015 class? 3 of the top 10 and 5 of the top 22 were called out as complete busts.  Not sure if I would be willing to call 2016 busts yet, most have 3 years left to show something

What garbage.

the second player was second all SEC last year... that doesn't sound like not living up to the hype to me...

You know what I would like to see:  What coaches have the most positive effect on their players at a certain position.

I get the guys that transfer around being considered busts, but guys with 2-3 years of eligibility left? It takes time for many positions to adjust to the college game.  A 213 pound defensive end needs to put on 50-70 pounds of muscle to even begin to compete.

This is the type of article that makes you think college players should be paid.   A national media outlet telling the world that you're an overrated bum.  Really isn't cool.
