MGoDad Roll Call ---Hast Thou Forsaken Thy Favorite Website?
Hey Mates (nod to Xtra Melanin) I'm off to Lake Michigan for a one day/night getaway and wondering if some of the long time dads are still among us? Xm, Mad Hatter, Monocle Smile, even Setion 8.1. Also thanks to the dads that run the site. I'm picturing little Denard Cook in his little hockey sweater, young Mr. Fisher who I played with at viewing party, and Ace's dad who shared Hollway field with me on a PiHi lacrosse senior night. Congrats to all the dad's .
Going fishing today with the boys. Here's to a long day of watching fish eat worms clean off my hook.
Taking my son out to a small lake in about 20 minutes. Hopefully a nice bluegill fry for dinner!
I watched Jaws I & II....that's sorta like fishing, yeah?
Have I forsaken my favorite website? Well, one part of my routine didn't change on Father's Day - the second thing I did after making coffee was opening up MGoBlog.
I'll be honest - I don't know what exactly they've got in store for me today. It's going to be too hot to do much outside, unless they do it right now. Oh well, there's coffee......and later on, beer.
Yes. 12:30 and it's 92 out. Crazy hot.
Why would someone downvote the current irrefutable weather condit.....O riiiight....... that whole "messenger" thing.
You can vote and see votes???
LUCKY!!!
Happy father's day!
Happy daddy’s day to everyone.
Wife and I are about to drop kids off at the in laws for the summer. Should be a quiet and peaceful summer this year
Going fishing with my pops while my two boys will attempt to dive into the lake water every time I turn my back.
Happy father's day, MgoDads!
My son and I are at Cooperstown Dream Park for a week long 12U Baseball Tournament. I'm having a great time - I'm in Father's Day heaven!
11 years ago on June 19th it was Father's Day. I was in Guatemala picking up our adopted daughter. I have some great memories around this day.
Best to all of you dad and your dad's, too!
Going to the museum of flight with my 2.5 year old. Feels like my first real Father's Day.
My daughter had planned to take me to “Cominsky” to see the Tigers, but it’s too darned hot! Chinn’s 34th Street Fishery instead. Happy Fathers Day to all who had fathers! Enjoy the memories.
Going to a brunch at noon. Then maybe a dip in the pool at my sisters house.
Happy father's day to all the dads. We've got a bunch of folks coming over. I threw two pork shoulders on the smoker at 2:30 to be ready for lunch. I've got some pork belly burnt ends going as well. Should be a good day!
Going to watch my second favourite football team, Germany, later this AM. Love the Mannschafts!
Thou website needs an app. I'm guessing the person that gave them advice not to have an app is the same person who invented the Beta VCR.

Actually the Beta was far superior to the VHS.
Grandma took the three little maniacs for a sleepover last night, so enjoying a nice breakfast with my wife before we go pick them up. Brasil match at 2 and then maybe beat the heat with late afternoon movie. Happy Fathers Day everyone!
Because of the dumb dog, I'm the only one awake. So Costco dark roast and MGoBlog for this guy. Was watching Death Wish last night and forgot how much I loved Charles Bronson. I'm intrigued be the remake's trailer, though Bruce Willis seems a bit miscast.
Just took our the dog for a morning walk to avoid the worst of a heat advisory day. Hot and humid conditions gave me a bad case of swamp ass for Father's Day.
My favorite Bronson movie is Once Upon A Time In The West. Of course, it also has Jason Robards, Henry Fonda and (hubba hubba!) Claudia Cardinale. The whole picture is really well done.
Putin, if your in metro Detroit, Emagine theater in Canton has the greatest Father's day movie of all time playing at 2:00 - The Godfather. Was planning on going but had to reschedule.
Old man Dad checking in. Daughter is out of state, working an internship, so it’s going to be a remote visit today.
Go Blue, Go Tigers
Happy father’s day to the dads! The importance of your role in your children’s lives cannot be over emphasized. Keep working hard and enjoy your children!
Happy Fathers Day to all you a Fathers out there. Go Blue!!!
My first post on the new site. I guess Im old and grump and miss the old version - flaws and all. Been tough on my iphone.
I’m going see a bunch of relatives then hangout with my youngest son and play Fortnight.
Will be a good warm up for a new job I have for a nice family called the Barksdale’s

Never. Mgoblog is burned into the psyche. Even when the sports are bad the blog isn't.
Happy Father's Day to all and thank you Scanner Blue for your OP---would upvote you for posting it if we still could!
Whether being honored today (as I am) as a father or grandfather, or honoring your own pops on Father's day, please take a moment to remember the Fathers who have passed away (such as my dad 6+ years ago); to think about Fathers who may be separated from their children because of work or other responsibilities or other circumstances beyond their control; and to also think about Fathers ( and their children) who are denied contact with their kids by those who misuse their "power" to do so. And remember and then be thankful how fortunate most of us individually are to be able to share Father's Day with our loved ones.
But I'll get back off my soapbox now and wish nothing but enjoyment and relaxation and fun times to all MGoDads all day today!
Shout out to Bobby Clay, gone way too many years but lives on in what I teach my two sons.
From an mgomom, Happy Father's Day to all you dads. You're making the world a better place, one family at a time. Dads are so underappreciated in society these days; I'm grateful for my own dad's influence in my life (he's been gone since 2009) as well as so many others. Enjoy the food and beverage of your choice, and feel the love.
My kids are grown and In their late 20s. Have to bribe them with an awesome grilled beef tenderloin for dinner.
I spent the day at home with my wife and two of my children. It was great. I grilled out for dinner. My other child pitched today in Wisconsin and picked up a win for his Northwoods team. That was excellent too.
I lost my dad a couple months ago and I miss him dearly on this day. First Father’s Day without him but with my family I made it through. Thank you my peeps!
Happy Father’s Day to every father on the blog. God Bless!
No I'm playing cfb risk now. I'll be back in July.
Also last year fathers day started the beginning of my honeymoon. Today was our 1st anniversary and fathers day. Married into two wonderful stepkids. Had an amazing day with them.
Happy Father's Day!
And may our children never be subject to internet scorn because they only have three stars.
Spent most of the day in the quiet, dark, AC infused housing unit watching my 9 and 6 year old sons stare at their devices with glorious none molecule exciting stillness; but, also had intermittent trips to the "sauna" for light yard work, short iron approach shots and some yard bird on the grill, resulting in probably 5lbs of weight loss.
Today was good dad's day.
Just spent the day with my family, which is a perfect fathers day for me.
I haven't seen Hatter in awhile.
I went camping with the Fam on Lake Michigan. Very nice.
For Father's Day, I accidentally gave my parents a cruise to celebrate their 40th anniversary, which is next year.
I meant to give it to them for Christmas, but the cruise company doesn't listen to directions, and sent them a welcome card, despite assurances that all mail would be sent to the billing address, not the address of the people on the cruise. So I had to let the cat out of the bag to reassure them that someone hadn't stolen their credit card numbers to buy a cruise.
At least the location is still a secret. So far. I have to call the guy and see if they can at least figure that part out. You'd think a cruise company would be used to that kind of thing.
