B1G - 9-game conference schedule, zero FCS opponents.
SEC - 8 game conference schedule, one FCS opponent.
ACC - 8 game conference schedule, one FCS opponent.

It's probably worse for the West division than for the East but it increases the chances of another L on the schedule (assuming you are still scheduling 1 quality out of conference game already).  If we go 10-2 with the second loss as a 5th conference away game at Iowa you may not think the nine game schedule is such a good idea, at least while other conferences are choosing to play 8.

You might as well schedule one of these guaranteed wins as long as it doesn't penalize you. A 11-1 Alabama will never be held out of the playoffs for crushing some cupcake.

USC, UCLA, and Notre Dame - the only 3 FBS schools to have never played an FCS school (since the D-1A/D-1AA split occurred in the early 1980s).
