New 2020 offer: Florida CB Tevin Griffey
Tevin Griffey attended Michigan's camp yesterday and earned his first offer. He's the son of Ken Griffey, Jr. and goes to Orlando (FL) Dr. Phillips, which was the home of Dee Hart and Ricardo Miller (before Miller transferred to Michigan). The youngest member of the Griffey family is a 5'10", 155 lb. cornerback.
On a related note, there haven't been many baseball players more fun to watch than Ken Griffey, Jr. He had such a smooth swing, and he could do everything on the baseball field.
Here's a link to his Hudl highlights:

It took some time before I figured out that the way to post links in MGoBlog 3.0 is to (a) copy the URL for the link, (b) click the link icon at the top of the message box, (c) paste the URL in the box and (d) click save.
I hope that this helps: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7726883/59f8e69aab9d66376820f237
Also, if, like I do, you prefer to insert the link into some text like Tevin Griffey Highlights, so that the lengthy URL doesn't appear in the body of your post, (a) copy the URL for the link, (b) highlight the text where you'd like to insert the text, (c) click the link icon at the top of the message box, (d) paste the URL in the box and (e) click save. The link then should be inserted in the highlighted part of the text.

Looking forward to the day when editing posts in MGoBlog 3.0 will be easy.
I could be wrong, but I think his daughter plays basketball at Arizona, so he has all three kids playing a sport at various levels. That has to be interesting as a father - one kid in the pros, one still in college, one headed towards college.
Zordich really likes him. Ken gets along really well with Harbaugh too.
His whole family made the trip; Ken Jr. , his mom, Trey, and his sister. Trey is currently listed on Steelers roster. In Schembechler Hall after the camp was done, I was offering my last chocolate chip cookie to some of the football players who politely refused. I offered it to Ken Griffey Jr. next who initially said no but then came back and took it for his wife. A few seconds later he came back and shook my hand. Don't tweet at recruits but you can offer Avalon Bakery cookies to them.
Impermissible benefit? Did you clear that cookie with the NCAA? ; )
Totally legal ---preexisting relationship--- having seen Ken Jr. in his last appearance at Tiger Stadium in 1999. It was a very hot double header in August that I remember well. Don't go to double headers when the temperature is above 90 degrees. You go home broke having spent 1/4 of the afternoon standing in line buying drinks.
Yeah, a cookie is okay, but I'm not sure about the chocolate chips
Definitely no cream cheese.
He’s really small, but that last name will get your foot in the door. If he truly is a great player, the Southern schools will soon take notice and offer. Then it becomes real difficult.
This the building of a strong relationship now....
Thus not this
He’s only 16 years old and still growing
I read that in the Flintstones vitamins tune...
10 million strong.... And grooowwing
Griffey Jr has some Michigan connections. He went to Cincinnati Moeller high school, which has nearly the same block M and colors. This leads to many UM fans there. He's also very close friends with Barry Larkin who most here know was recruited by Bo before he decided to only play baseball at UM.
This is really a reach for "Michigan connections": " He went to Cincinnati Moeller high school, which has nearly the same block M and colors."
Stronger connection: The Kid told Dan Patrick he would have gone to Michigan if he had chosen to play college football.
Eh... he just left out that both Griffey and Larkin went to Moeller.
If he does end up at Michigan, let's hope he isn't great at baseball and risk him getting drafted by some OSU baseball owner/exec
....or basketball so Tom Gores doesn't draft him for the Pistons.
It's never "Iffy" if it's "Griffey".
