Crawford and Walker the 2 that have left the program?
Just saw this interesting but not a big shock.
Did you just see this now?
yes saw the headline on bleacher report. Names had not been released but there had been speculation up until now. Then again these were the first printed names outside of message boards.
So, this article was posted right around 48 hours ago, did you not think to perhaps, look around a little to see if it was A. legit and B. posted already here and several other places?
Right - we wouldn't want to push one of a dozen new "meta" threads off the front page.
To be fair, until everyone get situated with the new site and probably until all the modules are up and running, assuming they aren't already, you're probably in for a metric shit ton of META threads.
Do you have the scales to actually measure that? We're a pretty analytical bunch here and will want to see the data.
You win the internets today.
This comment made my day.
:-)
I wanna meet the guy who downvoted: "Your post made my day"
Probably strangles puppies too.
I’m so confused...where would this have even been posted to?! The Board was shut down to a Geo page for a day, and yesterday was spent “reacting” to the new design.
chill out buddy. The new site is only 24 hours old and you’re already being an asshole.
Page 2, 2nd or 3rd post down.
username checks out
I'd like to think that for the next week or two as people get used to the new site, we could cut some slack to double posts.
No quarter given!
Seriously the board police could cool it for a little while.
Or forever. Not sure what their issue is. It must really ruin their day seeing double posts. As I've said before, for the rest of us with lives, a double posts just means a second chance to catch something we might have missed.
I second the vote for forever
Well for the last half decade or so, the search function and the scroll function on the board has been totally busted, and no slack was cut then.
The blog has has changed. But has it?
I wish posts could be edited so you could have removed the second "has."
I wish upvoting was available to users with low point totals so I could +1 this post.
Lots of hases...or is it has's? Maybe has'?
Hazmat
what is the new upvote threshold now anyway?
Bump
Kareem Walker...just add him to the list of high profile recruit RB that just couldn't make an impact in AA. All the best to him though. Man do we have tough luck getting production out of "stud recruit" RB's.
Disappointed by Walker's departure. I had hoped his academic an injury issues were behind him and he would impact the running game after TI's departure. He showed some promise in the Rutgerzzz game last year.
Best of luck, Kareem.
I think he had some more troubling issues than just academic and injury, not trying blow any smoke but just sayin....
It's interesting that the stud recruits we've pulled in (Derrick Green, Kareem Walker) are generally considered guys whose recruiting profile cooled considerably by the time they got on campus. It doesn't make it hurt any less, but it's helpful to at least contextualize that position with the caveat that at least we've gotten good production from other, less touted backs.
You don’t say.....
Again?
What the hell is a jigawatt?
Sorry to see Kekoa go, I really thought with a good QB and a good WR coach that he would contribute this fall. He could of been the hero of the MSU game if it weren't for the holding on Higdon. And he always gave his all when blocking.
I wish him well.
i could have sworn I saw this on the board a couple of days ago. although for the life of me I can't navigate the new board to find it. so I don't blame the op for not seeing it.
It was on the other blog.....2.0 or something in the past.
Didn't you mention that there were 3 leaving? And that 2 were somewhat suspected while one was a surprise?
yes Crawford was suppose to be a surprise, other is possibly ulizio who has not mentioned yet but the writing is on the wall
WE’VE LANDED ON THE MOON!!!
Dress it up all you want, mgoblog will never change
If true, I wish them luck. Crawford clearly took a step back last year and probably saw the writing on the wall in terms of playing time. I'm more surprised about Walker because he seemed like a guy poised to carve out a solid role along with Higdon and Evans, but he has seemed a bit snake-bitten since he's been at UM.
Step back from what? Crawford hardly played as a freshmen. Seemed like he had everything you need to be a decent WR, except the hands.
Agree about Walker, unless he was passed by Samuels, I expected him to get a decent number of carries as the #3 RB.
This basically confirms the sophomore receivers have a big breakout season coming. Who's third in RB if not Walker?
Tru Wilson is 3rd as of right now per Baumgardner.
O'Maury Samuels would be next on the list in terms of carries from last year - Kurt Taylor also comes off of a redshirt year, but who knows.
Hmmm. I suppose that is Tru.
I see what you did there! Always Tru to your word.
Never heard of them....
That would be a huge bummer if so
I mixed up Crawford and Collins in my head lol. Crawford isn't a huge loss. Walker still would sting though.
I thought McDoom would be one of the 2
